I initially planned to upgrade an old HP Compaq for gaming and to use graphic design software. I intend to play Overwatch, Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Splitgate and more. For graphic art I'm mainly interested in digitizing embroidery files and want to make stickers and pins. After getting some help, I realized it would probably be better to build from scratch. I would have loved to keep my original case since I painted it pink and cut out a Jigglypuff silhouette but the CPU cooler and graphics card were too wide to fit. I do like the sleeker look of the new case but in hindsight I should have waited until I had the parts before customizing the case. I did go back to the store a week after building the PC to get more RAM more for cosmetic reasons than needing an extra 16gb. It took about 5 hours to build because I would rearrange how the things were and connecting the rgb cables was a bit confusing. Cable management wasn't too difficult but involved a lot of reworking how I initially connected everything. Next time I'll work on Cable management as I'm building. In general, I should have done more research before starting the build process because it would not turn on when I had finished. I realized one of the power cables was not fully plugged in after checking the cables for everything else first. In the end, it was a fun project and I inspired my boyfriend to want to build a gaming PC for himself.

Past: I’ve had a passion for building computers ever since I was a freshman in high school. Since then, I would stay up nights watching BitWit and Linus. After countless hours, I finally decided on the parts I’ll infuse into my dream PC. The Beginning: Building a PC without even working, especially in a hispanic household had most of it’s disappointments. Being told your vision was only just a matter of time before I gave up on it, bummed me out a lot but I never gave up! Fortunately, after explaining that this will enhance my skill and passion in Hardware Engineering and Software, they allowed me and even helped me. After 1-2 months and camping outside of this Micro Center for a GPU (although I didn’t get the one I wanted but I was desperate), I finally finished. It booted up perfectly. Mid Journey: However… It wasn’t what I wanted it to be. It wasn’t near what I wanted my DREAM PC to be. After being hired for the summer, I made money and invested most of it to upgrading. I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 3700x. I knew my dream case was the Lian Li O11D Mini and with the help of a fellow Micro Center employee, I was encouraged on going through with it! I added case fans and an extra 16GB of RAM which was pricey, but very worth it haha. (A new SFX Power Supply to accommodate with the new case as well. The End of an Era/Issues: After installation of the Motherboard, I realized there wasn't space in the back from the case to mount my AIO. I panicked because I wasn't planning on using the included wraith cooler with my CPU. My AIO pump is so cute! "How could I ever let it go" I thought. I stared for a moment and realized I could install the AIO mount on the Motherboard and then screw the motherboard in. Once again, I was relieved from devestation. After installing everything in the new case, I booted it up. I noticed my hard drive would say 50% usage and it worried me a lot. I frantically searched it up but would be led to a dead end. I never really understood as to why it did that but I assumed it was just because of CPU change. A day later, I tried booting it up for my usual gaming mornings but it turned off in a span of 5 minutes. My worry escalated and I unplugged everything to avoid further damage. I ended up going to Micro Center for a Diagnostic and found out my CPU was nearly cooking itself so it would turn off to protect itself. I actually inserted the CPU pump wire into the wrong header which relieved me because I was afraid I’d have to spend more money on something. After thanking the technicians, I went on my way home to try booting it up and to my surprise, it was a successful startup. There was no powering off which relieved me even more. The only upgrade I have left is a 30 series as I intended to get in April but couldn’t. Though I’m totally okay with what I got (Asus ROG 2060 OC). I’m beyond grateful for my journey and anyone who helped me along with it. Ongoing possible issue: My CPU temp is usually at 55°C during startup but stays at 60-70°C during full load. Is this healthy? The people of Reddit say it’s normal temps from a Ryzen 7 3700x Thank you to everyone who sees this! You’re amazing, loved and appreciated! Have a great day <3 ☆ I try not to submit to the sterotype of pink gamer girls but how could I not?? It's so cute! Don't get me wrong, I sometimes alternate between more nature-y, earth-y colors or simple blues and yellows too lol

I built this setup to more comfortably game and work for long hours at a time. Before, I was gaming on a 60 hz TV which had horrible input lag and was super limiting. Now that I have a 1440p 144hz monitor, I can really take advantage of that true PC gaming power! I play various games and also create digital content. I normally enjoy FPS games like Apex Legends and Warzone, but I have been wanting to get into more RPG-esque games as well. When I'm creating, I use the Adobe suite, more specifically Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere. This build has made my workflow so much more efficient and powerful.

I built this PC because I found case at Micro Center that caught my attention, the Maingear Vybe mid tower case that is in red. The purpose of this rig is basically for general computing, desktop computing, gaming. The games I play are usually FPS games from Roblox. I do plan on getting other fps games and BeamNG Drive also. I also used this to upload my gameplay videos, (channel: ix.cryorig_games) I upgraded my stock cooler to a vetroo V5, and added 2 more sticks of crucial ballistix 16gb kit at 3200mhz. Also, this build of mine was inspired after the SRT Hellcat, so the red and black theme will be perfect. I also added in some sleeved extensions from inland, and it really matches my build. My case fans are Arctic bioniX and Arctic P12 PWM PST's. Bitwit's videos also inspired me to make a build this nice!

I was aiming to do something that would be good for gaming, for light video editing (no 4k or something like that), CAD applications, and that it would be under a reasonable price. Originally I didn't have a CPU cooler (only the included AMD wraith stealth) and a used 8Gb RX580. I was able to upgrade the CPU cooler recently as well as the GPU to an RX6700xt thanks to a friend that was able to snatch one from one of the AMD drops. The main upgrades I would like to do in the future would be the CPU, the CPU cooler, the PSU and maaaaybe the case just because I would like to have the 5950x and I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit a cooler big enough for it inside my case, but so far this PC does everything I need it to do.

I use this PC for gaming, streaming, photoshop, and premiere pro in hopes to actually try to make some money off streaming (My Twitch is PiddleTV). First, let's start off with the gem of the build... My Ryzen 9 3900X. This CPU, although loves to suck power, is a BEAST! Multitasks effortlessly, runs decently cool considering its power draw, and rarely ULTRA FAST. I have it overclocked to 4.4GHz on all 12 cores and could go higher if necessary. Next, perhaps the most underrated part of my build is my motherboard. From ASRock, the B550M Steel Legend is a Budget Badass! Easy overclocking, 2 M.2's, plenty of SATA ports, and great RGB lighting on the board too. This MoBo is by far one of my favorite pieces of my entire build, does everything right and looks beautiful at a discounted rate. Lastly, I originally had bought a Radeon 5700XT from Gigabyte (I do not recommend it), but it artifacted countless times, even after RMA'ing it (Gigabytes support is also very bad I have learned). So after 5ish months, I decided I needed a new one and fortunately, I was able to snag this 3060ti on launch day. Works like a charm... Isn't the fastest in terms of clock speeds, but who cares... the thing tanks all games 4k Ultra @ 90+fps (one monitor active), and when streaming, it runs all games 1080p High @ 144fps (streaming and two active monitors). Presenting what the name of the build is all about... My "Corsair Theme", my build features 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB 3600 MHz RAM. The only issue I have run into with these sticks is that the RGB sometimes does not want to cooperate with Corsair's iCUE software... Don't know why, just is what it is. Besides that, these sticks are fast and reliable, hardware-wise, never a doubt, never an issue. STILL staying on the Corsair Theme, my CPU cooler is the ever-so-popular, H100i RGB Platinum AiO. It's sleek, it's elegant, it's effective, it's everything. Plus I got it at a discount :) Almost done with Corsair... I promise. To power all of this, I am featuring the Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold PSU. (please comment if you guys feel like this is not enough power). As far as I am concerned, it gets the job done. Super reliable, powerful, and quiet. The last and most apparent Corsair feature of my build is the case. The Corsair Crystal 280X RGB is a popular and beautiful case. When first planning out my PC, I wanted something that was small, beautiful, and easy to build in, and this case hit every wish I could've asked for. There really isn't much else to say about this case, I just let the looks speak for themself. Onto some of the other components of my build: CableMod Custom White and Black Sleeved Cables (Absolutely beautiful) 1TB SSD WD Blue (Durable, quick, cheap) 1TB M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 EVO (lightning-quick) 500GB M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 EVO (see above) Corsair iCUE Commander Pro (Convenient for all my RGB Components) 2 Corsair SP120mm RGB White Fans (Quiet, gentle, stunning) AND LAST, but not least. My Elgato 4k60 Capture Card w/ Playstation 5. These two things were the latest additions to my collection. I waited so long to get my hands on the PS5, I couldn't believe it when I finally snagged one. Runs effortlessly and quietly (a huge contrast to its predecessor, the JetEngine4. Once again... Not much to comment on, I let the hardware do the talking. That finished my PC (and PS5), my build also features: Samsung C27HG70 27" 4k 144Hz Curved Monitor Samsung C24F390 24" 1080p 60Hz Curved Monitor Fifine USB Streaming Microphone Logitech StreamCam Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Cherry MX Speed Silver Corsair DARK CORE RGB PRO SE Wireless Mouse Pecham Desk Mat For being my first build, I definitely made some mistakes along the way... Something I am going to change for my next build, whenever that is, is probably not go with Corsair... I love the company, I own a TON of Corsair products; however, iCUE just isn't cutting it for me, wayyyyyy to many issues and bugs with its software... I have troubleshooted everything, no solutions. I am also considering a new backplate for the 3060ti, so HMU if you all have any suggestions. All-in-all, I loved building it and putting it together, it brought me so much joy in the middle of an event where joy was not easily found. I am so glad I am able to be apart of this community and love for y'all to give me some feedback on my build so I can continue to improve this beaut. Thanks again and best of luck to everyone!!!

I've been wanting to do so for a while, but after playing Total War and bingeing on various YouTube channels I finally did it. What started as a budget build (the original specs were at about $800) I was able to barter, hustle, and through some good luck found an RTX3070 at Microcenter. This will be mainly for gaming, such as OW, COD, and maybe eventually get MS Flight simulator with the full H.O.T.A.S set up. When my sister decides to build her computer to play SIMs, my future upgrades include: - Full sized ATX board - Possibly upgraded CPU (looking at the Ryzen 7) - Debating on an water cooling - Lian Li Unifan (cablemanagement is crazy on this; currently running 8 fans, 4 extra RGB lighting pieces)

I wanted to try PC gaming since all I would hear from people was that it was a way better experience. Thus after watching multiple youtubers such as Jayztwocents and TechSource I was inspired to build my first ever PC. It has evolved now since I'm hooked with building so now I find any excuse to get my hands on my pc. Here are some pictures of the updated state of my entire set up since I have tried hard to not just have a good looking pc but also a good looking setup. I used by two favorite colors for lighting purple and red. I love star wars and one of my favorites was the red sith troopers from the last installment. The rest of the game room has some starwars stuff such as the white boba fett helmet, the lightsaber, and the R2D2 popcorn maker! Thus the theme for the pc/setup build. I'm currently rocking a ryzen 7 3800x and Powercolor Red dragon 5600xt. My hopes are to upgrade the gpu and keyboard next. If you have any keyboard recommendations let me know!

I played on a gaming laptop for awhile but it was time to build something for myself and call it my own. I built it to be able to play with my friends who also built their own PCs. Also there was quite the incentive when I realized the greater performance you get on a PC when compared to a console, especially when playing cross-platform games. I play Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, and Destiny 2 mainly. It definitely was a fun time putting it all together with the help of my roommates. I can definitely tell the difference from my Xbox One and my gaming laptop (which had a 1660ti in it). It runs very smooth and boots up super quick with the M.2 drive. At first I was a tad hesitant to get an AMD card because Nvidia is the top dog but so far, I've had no regrets as it has proven itself worthy for giving my the frames I want in games.
