I recently got back into PC building in 2020 (Last Build was 2012) and a friend told me about these youtubers that have build guides so I checked out Jayz2cents, and quickly found myself subscribing to Bitwit, Pauls Hardware, GamersNexus, Austin Evans, and of course Linus Tech Tips. I was hooked and really appreciate how all of these channels try to vary their content but all exist in the same space in a friendly way. I've built 6 systems for friends and family since then and most recently updated my personal system which is the white and black system in the O11 Mini. This system was upgraded after I camped out at Microcenter in January 2021 and was lucky enough to get an RTX 3070 Strix White Edition. The Lian Li TU150 was the 1.0 version of this computer before the 3070. I had purchased an ASUS Strix RTX 2060 Super but sold it last summer after I got the 3070. So hopefully that makes sense why I needed to upgrade to a case with better Air flow. The ITX build was fun but just was a hot box! Before this I had a HP office prebuilt with a 1060 put in afterwards. The main reason I upgraded was VR. I bought a quest 2 and a 1060 just wasnt cutting it anymore. I also got the 3070ti close to msrp from a local retailer. My cable management is decent on the front, but not very good in the back.

My whole group of friends all played computer games and constantly egged me on to get a pc. Unfortunately i did not have money and a job as I was still finishing high school. Soon as I finished I got a job at Target and started putting in the hours to finally get my pc. My build originally started simple with a ryzen 3 2200g, b450 motherboard, 500gb ssd, and a ryzen rx 480 red devil. I wanted to upgrade in the future but knew Target was not going to cut it because high end pc parts are a pretty penny. So I went to trade school and now im an electrician trainee making decent money. After a long job with a total house remodel I happened to be passing micro center on my way home. I was tired but thought "hey why not check it out and maybe treat myself for the hard work" plus I had just gotten a rather large check haha. A friendly employee helped me out and I ended up walking out with pretty much an entire new build worth of upgrades.

I started off with a 700$ budget a couple years back in 2017 and had an alright PC with a 1050ti and a ryzen 5 1600, but I gradually gained money over time and saved up and eventually got the chance to upgrade parts one by one. Here I am now. Thanks to Microcenter for the fact that they literally have literally every computer part in the store. It is exciting every time I walk into there. It is such an amazing place for "geeks" like me honestly. I hope to definitely one day be able to afford a higher end GPU and hopefully make my setup and build look even better with more lighting mainly for the GPU, but at this time I can deal with what I have. Everything seems great, I can do my school work and multitask and game fine. On top of that I can stream well with consistent frames thanks to the new NVENC, but I am pretty sure my 3900x can handle streaming just as well.
