Mostly new parts but bought CPU and case with fans second hand and a few things on deals or with coupons savings money. Putting it together was very easy after watching videos and reading manuals. Just need to take time and be firm but delicate with parts. As for bios settings, using Intel POR helps keep everything cool and playing games with no hassle. Fans don’t get very loud when going full blast so generally a very pleasant experience using the PC so far.$2,994.91 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

I've been gaming on a work PC for a while now, so I decided to treat myself after my first paycheck. I mostly play Apex and Valorant, but I got a RTX 3080 in case I want to play more GPU intensive games (Ready or Not, Cyberpunk 2077). I think the aesthetics of the case are pretty decent: hence the name form + function. I didn't go too crazy on RGB or aesthetics, but I think the case fans look pretty nice and minimalist. It might look a bit basic, but I think it has a certain charm. When my wallet recovers, I might get some Noctua fans since it's kind of loud right now. It's a pretty high end build, so I don't see myself making too many upgrades in the near future.$1,516.94 -

Built in early 2023 when AM5 was fairly new and used it for general purpose and gaming. After the computer was built, I was having a terrible time getting the computer to boot due to AM5 being new and DDR5 timing, but after a lot of troubleshooting and remounting/reinstalling the CPU cooler/RAM/powercable, it finally was able to boot and haven't had any issues since....hopefully that will be the end of it. The case was a contributing factor in the fans I choose as I wanted maximum airflow in this build, of course getting the noctua fans were a must for me. Even though it had stretched out the total cost of this computer...$2,209.78 -

Never built a system before so was excited to put something together with a top of the line GPU and CPU combo. All items were purchased within around a week, taking advantage of some online Black Friday sales This system is primarily for gaming, and some video editing, I've paired it with a LG 32GP750 1440p 165Hz monitor, I also have it hooked up to a 55" Sony X90k to run 4k 120Hz. No complaints putting everything together, the popular Corsair 4000D was super easy for install and had more than ample room for the huge 7900XTX, also no crazy RGB here, just simple and neat. Temps have been good so far, the Peerless Assassin cooler is plenty, I have yet to see temps run past about 70c with gaming use. There's definitely coil whine coming from the GPU during intensive gameplay, can be annoying but not a huge deal when you have your volume up or headphones in.$2,027.92 -

First build ever using it for gaming and some SolidWorks when I need to work from home. Going to change case to something a little more tasteful and get cablemod stealth wire and extensions and just extra frill to make it look way better. The case is GREAT at keeping the components bathed in cool air, but it's just not the greatest looking case. Thinking about hardline water-cooling for the CPU and GPU that way I can keep the 7900X and 4090 cool and make the build look way cooler (If I do it right that is...) Microcenter makes all other electronics store second grade. Can’t wait till my next build.$3,344.93 -
