I'd like to thank "Diego M" at the Denver Micro Center who helped me (by complete coincidence) during two different trips a couple of months apart while I was gathering parts for this system. I have named this build "Sign of the Times". When you see the picture and spot the sign, you will understand why! Currently I play a variety of strategy games, such as Endless Space 2, Civilization VI, Rome Total War 2. Also some older first person games such as Tomb Raider. I'd like to play newer first person games as well but that will need to wait (see the previously mentioned sign). Almost all the parts were bought at the Denver Micro Center except for items they simply don't carry.$2,141.88 -

I started off with a console and found myself hitting a cap on my gaming skills and decided it was time for an upgrade. I worked a bit harder and pooled some money together after watching countless youtubers build budget systems using Dell Optiplex's but upon agreeing to my dad to check out the micro center, I was shocked! I quickly sold my xbox and a few of my old games and shoes and headed down to micro center and found the best motherboard cpu deals! If I win, I will use the money to purchase the all new RTX 3070 which has a starting price of exactly 499$ and will be a huge step up from my GTX 1650 Super!$546.44 -

With homeschooling on the horizon, I knew that I had to provide a better solution for my 5th grade son to continue his education instead of the school provided Chromebook. I'll end up playing tech support, so I wanted to make sure that I had a decent computer for him and I to work on. Budget was also important, so I picked up most items on sale at MicroCenter and we ended up building a perfect computer for our needs. It was a great build to work on with my son. His small hands were helpful reaching into the small case to plug in cables. Plus it was a great learning experience for him! I had a spare monitor and a GPU I pulled from my machine when I upgraded back in January, so I figured I'd put them to use and build my second computer. Asides for school work, my son also plays Fortnite, so I wanted to make sure that the computer was powerful enough to handle that. Size and portability were also important so I decided to go with the Lian Li TU150 and built in the ITX form factor. Right now he's working on a D.I.Y. desk in the basement, but one day he'll want to take the computer up to his room. The weight and case makes for a very portable solution. I used the Ryzen Wraith stock cooler to start, but I'd like to update in the near future, and he is saving for a nicer keyboard.$1,014.37 -

Primarily being used for classwork, gaming, 3D modeling software, and light video editing. Changed from an old laptop to this desktop because as a student at home, I felt I needed some more power and a faster PC. I also use it as a gaming rig. I play Valorant semi-compeitive and CS:GO. I also use 3D modeling software like Solidworks and Autodesk Fusion for my Robotics program and 3D printing group. I make short montage videos for YouTube using Adobe Premire CC.$799.93 -

It is my first build. I actually got it right the FIRST time around. No errors. I surprised myself. She's really just an entry level PC for now. She only has an APU right now and I plan to get a better RYZEN 5 CPU in the future. Just wanted to get her up and running. All I really play is Halo and American Truck Simulator... Some Sims 4 every now and then. She can run CSGO on HIGH settings pretty well without any stutter. I'm just bad at it.$603.86 -

I started off with a 700$ budget a couple years back in 2017 and had an alright PC with a 1050ti and a ryzen 5 1600, but I gradually gained money over time and saved up and eventually got the chance to upgrade parts one by one. Here I am now. Thanks to Microcenter for the fact that they literally have literally every computer part in the store. It is exciting every time I walk into there. It is such an amazing place for "geeks" like me honestly. I hope to definitely one day be able to afford a higher end GPU and hopefully make my setup and build look even better with more lighting mainly for the GPU, but at this time I can deal with what I have. Everything seems great, I can do my school work and multitask and game fine. On top of that I can stream well with consistent frames thanks to the new NVENC, but I am pretty sure my 3900x can handle streaming just as well.$2,339.36 -

I made it for gaming at the same time I made it for school and I always used a laptop so this was a huge upgrade for me, I had to get all of the money on my own to build this PC. I love to play Grand Theft Auto Five and other games like Farming Sim and lots of other Sims. I like to maybe upgrade my CPU or my GPU or get new fans if I get the money or sell my pc and then recreate a whole new one with a bigger budget.$615.93 -

I had been using a MSI gaming laptop for 6 years but now things have changed! This was my first mini-ITX build and also the first time using rigid tubing! It was an exciting build to explore liquid cooling and create a system for 1440p gaming. Runs many games really smooth on 1440p. such as World of Tanks, Destiny 2, GTA 5, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, COD Warzone, and... I'll need more storage space for more games. For future upgrades, I would like to add two 1TB SATA SSDS and if necessary another 1TB NVMe Drive. I like playing all types of games and look forward to having a large library of games to choose from instead of uninstalling and reinstalling all the time. Doing the PETG tube bends in the H210i was a challenge but it was so satisfying to utilize most of the space in a small case. I'm thinking of adding one of the dyes that came with the Liquid Devil when I drain the distilled water to install Noctuas in the front of the case; currently using Cougar 120mms. CPU and GPU temps at idle are 40-45C, as ambient is above 32C since I built this PC. At loads, temps range from 55 to 65C depending on the game. Undervolted the 5700XT and not OC'ing the 3700x. Little worried about the CPU temps being higher than the GPU at idle but I will continue to monitor it.$2,884.76 -

As for this build, I am super proud of, I have been building computers for years and this one takes the cake and you want to come back for more. This was built as a gift for a friend who has been thinking about streaming but did not have a great PC but also a console gamer. So a few friends got together and decided to put this in motion. We knew she is heavily into Overwatch, and their favorite character is Symmetra. With this in mind, I decided to do a Symmetra and Overwatch inspired build. Color matching can sometimes be difficult but the blue case fans & gray black of the case with the different skins that she has in-game would not be an issue. It shows off an aura and has a custom painted Overwatch logo (gray) on the side panel (Can be seen on Instagram). The best part of all of this is giving someone a gift that they had no idea was coming. Do good in the world, we need more of that.$859.91 -
