This PC was built as a specific stand-alone platform for encoding high definition videos and interfacing with a large storage pool NAS. Many of the encoded videos specifically use the Intel Quick Sync feature of the Core i7-13700K CPU. Raw video footage is pulled directly from the NAS, encoded, and re-uploaded (hence the 1TB WD Black SN770 NVME SSD being the only local storage needed). I chose the i7-13700K over the i9 models as the Quick Sync capabilities are identical. Sometimes CPU encoding is done for specific reasons. I find the 13700K adequate for that as well (although the power consumption is notably higher, the AIO keeps things silent). The power supply is quite large and also contributes to near silent operation. Overall, an excellent machine that should provide many years of service!$1,027.90 -

I do a lot of casual gaming, but I enjoy playing with the graphics cranked up most of the time so I chose the parts based on the fact that I'll be using it for everyday use like YouTube, Discord, Twitch and gaming. I do stream but it isn't often, and despite all of the problems with Intel I'm happy to say that so far at least I have been able to keep my rig at stock settings and haven't had any issues since I built the pc over 9 months ago .$2,679.93 -

Being able to have more tabs opened and running multiple games at once has never been more sweaty. Playing world of Warcraft or team fight tactics with one or two RuneScape clients on the side doing AFK tasks has been more enjoyable with no lag.$1,180.93 -

It was built to play games that connect me with my friends, who I've been playing with since high school on consoles. Now that I'm a real adult with a busy life, gaming is a great way to connect with friends who live far away or have their own busy lives. Gaming is a fun and convenient way to connect with important people in our lives, and building a great PC enhances this experience.$1,861.93 -

I built this PC as a balanced rig for gaming, multitasking, and working from home. It should run most modern games at high or ultra settings in 1080p and 1440p, with optimized performance at 4K for certain titles. The Ryzen 5 has relatively good performance for the price, and enough cores to handle working from home or multitasking. I'm generally not too fussed about the CPU performance, and it works well enough. I primarily play games like Valorant, League of Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, CS2, and GTA V. It also handles more demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, God of War, and Watch Dogs Legion quite well at 1080p, thanks to the RTX 3060. In hindsight, I might upgrade the RAM to 32GB down the line to future-proof the system for heavier multitasking or more demanding games. The 850W PSU is a bit overkill for now but gives me room to upgrade the GPU or add more components in the future, so I think that it was a good investment. Overall, I'm happy with the build, and the white case with glass looks super clean, especially with the RGB lighting.$807.92 -

The "RGB Slayer" is a gaming PC that brings the nostalgia of a past era with the performance needed to rock 1080p gaming today. It features an MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU, which may be a bit older but still handles 1080p games with ease. Powered by a Ryzen 3700x and packed with 32GB of RAM, this build combines reliable performance with stunning aesthetics. The vibrant RGB fans and motherboard lighting bring the whole setup to life, making it a true showstopper in any room. While it might look a bit dated by today’s standards, the RGB Slayer still slays on the battlefield, delivering smooth gameplay and eye-catching visuals.$754.94 -

This build, simply called "NAS" at home, serves as our powerhouse storage and compute server. Equipped with 8TB of SSD storage, a 750W gold PSU, a 14th Gen Intel i7, and 64GB of RAM, it was designed to be a versatile workhorse. It's more than just a storage solution—it's a complete offsite access server for all our critical files. Additionally, it handles a range of compute-heavy tasks, including running multiple Docker services for our self-hosted websites. The flexibility and power of this machine make it an essential part of our home tech setup, serving needs from media storage to software development environments.$1,809.90 -
