This build is basically a complete overhaul from my original 2015 build, minus the GPU which was upgraded in 2020. I use it daily for remote work, gaming in COD, Counter Strike, Battlefield and PubG. Also use it for recording music, guitar and vocal tracks.$1,513.94 -

My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91 -

I'm actually submitting this build while my girlfriend is laying on the hospital bed in front of me having her first contractions going into labor. This is one of the main reasons The Kraken was built. I wanted to have a quick home PC that would able to handle major video edits for our daughter and family growing up. I also enjoy playing games from time to time and if you aren't on max settings, well you aren't playing it right! I look forward to this PC serving my familys home video edits and my gaming habits for years to come.$2,599.89 -

Thanks to Nvidia's GameStream and the Awesome guys at moonlight. I'm able to stream from the ITX Rig to phone, laptops, & TVs via the moonlight app. Streaming Project Cars 2, TitanFall2, GTA 5, StarWars Battlefront II, Fallout 4, Destiny 2 over Ethernet or WIFI, I'm usually either 2k@144p or 4K@60p, Ultra settings. Also, the typical Bitrate of the stream over WIFI is usually 100 Mbits/s. Next up, will compare raw performance between my main computer (Macbook Pro with eGPU) vs ITX Rig. More future projects to come. Few Lessons learned: 1) Distilled Water......🙌🏾. So doing custom loops you learned quickly it's better to be safe and use non-conductive water. Saved me many times. 2) Fans Step Up and Step Down...Please set this option.....it helps soo much to stabilize temperatures. With this option set to 0, temperatures would never stay consistent on idle. 😔 3) Graphite Thermal Pad is good enough. Some of the best paste used: MX2, MX4, IC Diamond, Noctua are all great choices. Graphite helps to keep it clean, no paste mess. 🙄 4) Rollercoaster relationship with water cooling. Love to tinker, So pulling stock cooler from PCD, and installing water block was awsome....👏🏾. Getting all the air pockets out of the system sucks. And pouring water over electronics and seeing a drop of water anywhere is scary 😳😓. 5) Using water temperature sensors to relay temps to the motherboard. This allows me to set the fan controls for the GPU. Future Upgrades: 3950X or 3900XT, Waiting on the new AMD APUs, Quick disconnects, External Water Flow Sensor.$1,314.96 -

There were multiple reasons why I went forward with building this when I did – one of them being for remote working purposes as I am a Graphic Designer full-time for a company in New York City. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have streaming and playing video games on the list of reasons why also! Part of me wishes I went with the EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Ultra GPU rather than my 2080 Super but I’m not complaining. I know I’ll eventually upgrade to a dual SLI at one point or another but with that, I’ll probably need a bigger computer case and a higher wattage power supply. Also going to get another M.2 SSD for my motherboard since two are compatible. I stream a variety of games Part-Time on Facebook and love interacting with new gamers in the chat!$3,231.85 -

I also plan on using the system to work on CAD and work on 3D modeling and printing.$1,993.90 -

I built this computer for gaming and running virtual machines for work/study (I'm in Cyber Security studying forensics). I wanted something that could do it all, so when the wife set me loose with the credit card for my birthday and said "Build what you want" I built this beast (though I will say I was going to go with the MEG or Ace, but thanks to the current apocalypse situation the only thing in stock was the Godlike). I don't currently have much in the way of upgrades planned for this system, but I will likely upgrade the video card once I see what this next generation has to offer from intel and amd. I currently I play Wow, Battlefield, Just Cause 4, Farcry 5, TombRaider, and I pop on Apex Legends and Fortnite from time to time. I wasn't able to list a few of my parts on the builder so here's the extras: Sabent Rocket 2TB NVME Gen4 Deepcool's Castle cooler 4 Noctua black fans Conductonaut thermal compound$3,129.89 -

This was my first time building a gaming PC after being on console only forever. I mostly play Battlefield 4, Deep Rock Galactic, Overwtach, and cRPGs (like Divinity and Tyranny). I feel like this is a great base too for when I need to upgrade any parts. I chose a 3700X because I use this for data analysis for work as well.$1,876.92 -

The sole purpose was for video editing and music creation. Secondly was to play some light gaming and virtual lab testing system. I am a Musician/IT technician, and music/video is a big part of what I do. So, I needed something that could handle both, and do other things in the process without having to choose weather to close programs because the components are lacking. I use Adobe premiere, photoshop, aftereffects, media encoder, and DaVinci Resolve for video creation and editing. For music I use Pro Tools and Reason. For games I do mostly racing and sports. For my virtual system I use VMware for my test labs for work. With all that said, building something powerful, stable and can handle everything is crucial. I have always used intel for my pass builds but I decided to take a jump to AMD for the first time and must its been great. Went with the Ryzen 3950x and it just powers through everything. Check out the parts I used, some might be overkill but why not lol. I do not like ordering things online and having to wait. So, Microcenter was just the best place to get all the parts I needed to create this build. Just want to say thank you and for making my dream possible.$3,792.92 -

I built this PC after years of peer pressure from all of my friends and quite honestly I'm so glad I did. I wouldn't call myself the biggest gamer but I've begun to realize that gaming on PC is on a whole other level. Aside from gaming, I use this PC for work dealing with financial reporting but also to fuel my Photoshop creative side. I edit pictures on Adobe Photoshop and Light room, my PC handles it very smoothly.$3,149.85 -
