I might upgrade to custom cables for the power supply since the included 8-pin cables for the graphics card were split into two 8-pin connectors at the end, which made cable management a bit less tidy.$1,584.91 -

I intend to use this for more than 7 years, so I got more of the higher end and latest parts to last me longer. I also got my PhD and have a decent paying job now, I wanted to spurge a bit. This rig uses the AM5 Ryzen 7900X and the PowerColor RX 7900XT. I got the Ryzen 7900X + G.Skill Flare X5 for $440 along with a Gigabyte Aorus Pro AX for $240 from Microcenter which was an amazing deal. I wanted RGB RAM though, so I also purchased the G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM from Microcenter. First time living near a Microcenter but I'm glad I did when I decided to build a rig. Note that the Arctic Freezer 2 360 AIO does not fit on top in the Corsair 5000X but I zip-tied it and it seems fairly stable, surprisingly. Also, the XFX Merc319 6800XT in the boxes is not used since I got the RX7900XT.$2,203.91 -

Major upgrade from Intel i7 4770k / GTX 1080 rig to more future proof AM5 platform. This machine will be great for WFH / Gaming. I work in 3D / 2D design, and fast Zen 4 and RDNA 2 combo will definitely improve the speed and fluidity of the workflow. The free DDR5 and mobo discount deal with Zen 4 from Microcenter really encouraged this upgrade as well!$1,579.94 -

Imagine you want to build a new pc with the Torrent Compact case with rgb but you dislike the glass rear panel, what can you do? My Idea: Order the white non-rgb version with solid rear and purchase additional rgb fans to replace all the existing fans. This is what I did and I already received some of my hardware order, when - for me - some Christmas miracle happened. :) A full white rgb version with solid rear panel got recently released, without black accents it looks much cleaner and you save a lot money too, what else to ask for? I cancelled my orders and purchased this new case and the new white rgb fans as well to go all in this time. The temperatures are great without rear fan but I think I will add a 120 mm one, because it is quite dark in this area.$3,056.92 -

I am a first-time pc builder and a lifelong mac user, so starting the pc building process was a daunting task! I wanted a desk setup that was powerful enough to handle anything I could throw at it including games at 4k. As a mac user I never really got a chance to play games bc of platform issues, so I really want to play through games like the Halo series, God of War, and some competitive games like Overwatch. It took me literally forever to figure out how to build a pc but in hindsight I wish I spent more time figuring out how to cable manage while building the thing. But honestly I was so stressed during the building process because I was worried whether or not it would even turn on... so I don't really mind that the wires look crazy lol. I'm glad I had help from employees at Microcenter while building this otherwise I'm not sure I would have even been able to put together something that turned on.$2,214.91 -

Complete Desc- (Purpose, Mistakes, Progress and Results) This build is based on a hp pavilion 590 office pc i got back in 2018 for cheap. As my first system, I preferred a prebuilt pc instead of a DIY because I did not had enough knowledge about pc building or in tech at the time. My goal with this pc was to upgrade it down the line for it to play games like racing sims, go casually in shooters and do some other slower paced games. I also planned to do some light productivity, aswell for work. But since I had a tight budget, I did my best with what i had which was just enough for a good used starter gpu and a few needed add-ons and adapters to make this all work as I later found out the prebuilt not being compatible with the parts in many ways. The results of doing all of this were questionable but surprisingly the pc worked and it did what I mostly wanted to do with the only major issue being how loose and flimsy everything was. Months later, I only did an upgrade to the storage with an Optane module to speed up the slow hdd storage. However, I wanted to make a big improvement on my setup as to be honest, this whole thing was a mess. So I started to learn more about diy and technical stuff of pcs that I did not explored before to come up with a more ideal build. When I got another good amount of budget earned, I did my most significant change and upgrade after a year later (on 2020) where I revamped everything from scratch to how it is shown in pictures. The previous motherboard, case and other unnecessary things were removed but the reusable items such as the processor, ram, hdd, optane, psu (bought as add-on initially) and gpu were kept. Rebuilding the pc with the proper resources and tools could not been easier, miles better than adjusting and making stuff work on my previous prebuilt setup. Although it still has some mis-perfections, I consider this an accomplishment and all the stuff I intended to do with my pc originally just work better overall now. I guess I should have chosen to do and learn diy in the first place lol. I put a picture of the original “build” to show where I started with this.$1,110.99 -

Taking into account the current marketplace and limited availability of some choice products, sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect parts for your build. Today, Matt and Jackson put together an amazing budget gaming build for you! They chose an Intel Core i3-9100F Quad-Core CPU, ASUS B360 PRIME mATX motherboard paired with a Gigabyte RX 5500 XT Overclocked and 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM from Crucial. The great value and performance of this build shine through in-game. Getting around 80-110 fps on mixed Normal/Medium settings in Warzone. Performance in Shadow of the Tomb Raider was equally impressive, getting an average of 60 fps on high settings. Matt makes a serious recommendation to include 16GB of RAM in your next build as it's becoming the new standard for good gaming performance. Watch their video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuyqYjAyHLE What do you think about The Toasty Bros build? With the limited availability of some parts, would you wait for parts to get back in-stock or would you buy what's available now?$551.93
