It has the look of a gaming build, the productivity of a...productivity build, and the general purpose of anything that comes my way. In terms of gaming, I can run Valorant, CSGO, and Rocket League at 240+ fps on max settings (1080p). Higher demanding games such as the latest COD(s) and GTAV run similarly but only around 100fps. Streaming at 1080p 60 fps is no match for this build. In terms of productivity, I use it for my business, school, and other projects such as online communities. For all of these uses, I can not tell you how many times the secondary vertical monitor has come in the “clutch”. When I’m watching a YouTube video, I’m scrolling Twitter, when I’m writing an essay, I’m conducting research, when I’m accounting for sales, I’m calculating and obtaining the information I need. I could not imagine having only a single monitor. It’s truly amazing.

I've been looking around and waiting for the right time to make a build for about 2 years and it has come to this. I wanted to make a nice looking but not too vibrant PC, so I chose the Lian Li Lancool 205m. I saw this at Microcenter once and I really liked the way it looked. It was Micro ATX, which I wanted because a mid tower ATX case would just be too big for my desk. I added 3 120mm RGB fans from Deepcool which would add for better airflow and better lighting. For the CPU, I had to choose the Ryzen 5 3600 as it was the best choice I had for the budget. Got it for under $200 along with the ASRock B450m Pro4 at Microcenter for $60. Great performing CPU and a great binned CPU too IMO (the Ryzen 5 3600's rated all core clock boost is 4.2Ghz). I managed to overclock it to 4.3Ghz stable at 1.35 volts or 4.425Ghz at 1.375 - 1.4 volts. I only use the 1.35v OC as it is probably better for 24/7 use than 1.375. With the Enermax Liqfusion III 240mm AIO, it can cool it like it wasn't even being overclocked. Temperatures were amazing, which I had expected from a liquid cooler. One thing I wanted to do but couldn't was that I couldn't put the AIO on the top mount as it would not fit because the RAM was just barely in the way of the radiator, so I ended up using the 2 case fans that came with the case and put it on the other side of the radiator in the front of the case to get a push/pull configuration. I think the temperatures are probably better like that, but can't say for sure. The GPU I used was the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super. I was really looking hard to find a 3070 for a good price, but couldn't, so I just found the 2080 Super for $500. Only downside to this was that it is only the factory Dell 2080 Super blower style card, so that means no lights and the worst of all, a loud fan when playing games. I'm pretty sure this fan gets to 70% fan speed evertime and it is pretty loud. I'm looking right now for a 2080 or a 2080 Super non blower style just because of that. Although, I did manage to get a decent stable overclock on it at +150 on the core and +500 on the memory. The RAM I chose was the PNY XLR8 2x8 16GB kit. I found it on Amazon and it seemed like a decent deal for $85. The brand is good and I didn't want to risk spending $10 less on a cheap brand (Oloy). Last but not least, I chose the Inland Platinum NVME M.2 SSD. I wasn't even planning on getting it (but good thing I got it) as I was looking at the Crucial P2. Since Microcenter had it in stock, I bought it. Not only was it cheaper, but it was way faster. For a non PCIE Gen4 NVME, this performs great. The read write speeds are 3,400MB/S Read/1900 MB/S Write. Overall, I think this build is great. I am only using a 1080p 144hz monitor setup, but in the future, I will most likely bump it up to a 1440p 144hz or a 1080p 240hz. I probably ended up spending a total of $1200 including tax and shipping, which is amazing nowadays. Microcenter really helped out with getting my parts quicker and at the best price.

Recently upgraded my potato of a computer with some (much-needed) new parts from Micro Center. This rig is mainly used for games, typically Halo Reach, Minecraft, Far Cry 5, and Mirror's Edge Catalyst. It's also being used as a workstation since all of my college courses are online due to COVID-19. I'm also a Valve Index user, and my RTX 3070 FE is more than capable of pushing the frames for VR titles.

I built it on a whim because I was tired of in-game lag and friends complaining about my unreliability when I was playing on a Mac. Originally, I was just going to buy one but decided two-day shipping was two days too long...so I drove to Micro Center, splurged a bit on parts, and built this that same day. Now I can play League, stream on Twitch (KiNGC0NNIE), and run discord all at the same time. The only things I might do differently in hindsight is get a better gpu and paint some of the parts white to give it a cleaner look. Maybe I'll upgrade it someday, but "Geisha" is more than enough for what I need right now. Never thought I'd build my own pc but it was not as difficult as I expected and definitely a fun learning experience. So excited to turn on my pc every morning!

Built mainly for price to performance gaming and school work. i sold my original build (i7 3770k, msi gtx 650) and saved to build this after working hard this summer, picked the parts based on best price to performance deals. i chose black and red so that i can match my desk and hyper fury x full table mouse pad. if i were to upgrade my set up it would be the monitor from a 75 hz monitor to a 144 hz monitor. i would also upgrade the graphics card and buy an ssd for winodows. with the extra money i can help upgrade my little brothers pc while upgrading mine aswell.

I would've like to make the outside case a bit neater, but it was my first time doing something like this, and didn't have the proper tools for some jobs. I would like to put a discrete graphics card in it, so it could really game. Maybe be a mobile vr pc. A modular psu as well to help cable management. This was suppose to start out as a starter gaming rig for play Subnatica: Below Zero at 1080p in mind and i would upgrade as time passes. It started out with a RX 580 for the graphics then later upgrade to RX 5600 XT. This rig is ready to play Cyberpunk 2077 and GodFall without any trouble when they come out and be able to stream with out taking too much of a performance hit. What I hope to change later is to add some more Corsair RGB fans, RAM, and strips. You can't go wrong with more RGB add some cable mods because the 24-pin cable is to close to the front fans and won't bend into the back of the case anymore than it has. Some needed upgrade is bigger storage. I want to have a large ssd storage for large open world game to reduce loading time. That and the hard drive I'm using is almost filled.

My whole group of friends all played computer games and constantly egged me on to get a pc. Unfortunately i did not have money and a job as I was still finishing high school. Soon as I finished I got a job at Target and started putting in the hours to finally get my pc. My build originally started simple with a ryzen 3 2200g, b450 motherboard, 500gb ssd, and a ryzen rx 480 red devil. I wanted to upgrade in the future but knew Target was not going to cut it because high end pc parts are a pretty penny. So I went to trade school and now im an electrician trainee making decent money. After a long job with a total house remodel I happened to be passing micro center on my way home. I was tired but thought "hey why not check it out and maybe treat myself for the hard work" plus I had just gotten a rather large check haha. A friendly employee helped me out and I ended up walking out with pretty much an entire new build worth of upgrades.

This is my first PC build ever, and I absolutely love it. Had a lot of problems at first, which were caused by a faulty motherboard, so i returned it and picked up the oh so reliable b450-f. I play a variety of genres (mostly shooters, but i also enjoy sports games), and it runs all of my games at 100+ fps. I have been playing a lot of SkaterXL recently, after it was fully released on the 28th, and it runs great on high settings (1080p). Playing a lot of valorant with friends, and, although my aim is questionable, the frames are definitely not. Consistent 200+ fps on high settings. This build has no problems running any game that i throw at it. Really great at frying noobs, as stated in the name. Next thing I am looking to upgrade would probably be the CPU. I want to upgrade to Ryzen 7 to get those extra cores, because more cores=more betterer. After the CPU, I would probably look to a 2070 super or a 3000 series card if they release soon.
