I built "I'm Feeling Lucky" to handle anything and everything I would ever want to throw at it. Gaming is my #1 interest and my IT cert courses are #2. I mostly play destiny 2 and then the list kind of spreads out into a I don't know what to play so let's try them all type of list. Shooters, racing, open world rpg games and the like. I updated the cooling solution from and liquid freezer 280mm to a 420mm by Arctic. Also updated ram from 32gb to 64gb. I have 6.5Tb of SSD space as I didn't put all the drives in the build specs.

Gaming (R6S, Pubg, WoW, LoL, Battlefield and Valheim) I finished building this pc a week ago. (When I finally got my hands on a RTX 3080 FE) My cats spend their time increasing the loop temperature by 5C, but thats ok since I love my cats I am really satisfied with this build; as to why I used all fittings for the loop, it's because I originally made one or two connections with all fittings and I really liked the way they looked so I went back to Microcenter and got a bunch more Black Sparkle Bitspower fittings to finish off the build. It was just strangely appealing to me to use all fittings. I bought some cables to connect ARGB connectors to the Corsair Lighting Node Pro and Corsair Commander; so I can controller every LED in this build using ICUE software. Actual Price Estimation is around $4000-$5000

Finally decided to make myself a high end gaming machine after spending most of my life with mid/low tier machines that would upgraded over time. Figured since I would be building a better machine why not customize it a bit while I am it. Yea I know, 011d but its just a nice looking and functioning case. As for what games I play? Just about everything but these days I have been on a bit of a survival kick. Me and a friend just beat co-op Green Hell. Great little game. As for future plans, really don't think I have much really, although I saw an amazing infinity mirror mod a few weeks ago that I really want to build but other than that maybe an in case display of some kind but I think I its pretty much done for a few years, it does what I want and with the new tech coming in the next few years it's probably better to wait anyway. Who knows, maybe by the time I need a new GPU the world will have gone back to normal and I can just drive up to MC and get me one without having to get up at 4am and camp outside when its 28 (&*(#$@ degrees out. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Oh and of course gaming (: Mostly working in Maya, Nuke, After Effects, Photoshop and UE4. Wanted to go for form and function. As far as games go, I mostly play Valorant, LoL, and some AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077. Mounted a 14" monitor between the radiator and glass panel. This is the same build that I got featured on pcpartspicker for a couple weeks ago. Hope ya'll like it! So far monitoring temps the 5900x gets a bit hotter than what I'm used to, but mine seems like it's on the cooler side. I did replace the Nzxt thermal paste with a Noctua one tho.

The Chimera is a powerhouse machine designed to be both an aesthetic statement as well as fully functional for streaming... The Chimera is a powerhouse machine designed to be both an aesthetic statement as well as fully functional for streaming whatever games I want to stream. It was given the name Chimera as a suggestion from a viewer that was watching me upgrade the cooling loop on Twitch. The original name of this system was the Kraken. For me monsters and demons are part of my theme thus every one of my personal builds will be named after some sort of "dark" creature. This is currently version 2.0 of this build as I have learned and tried new things. I started out with a kit that I got from Alphacool with a Laing DDC pump and single 360x30mm radiator that I had expanded to two of as well as the Helix reservoir and the V2 DPP 755. Version 1.5 as described is what I had been running for my cooling for the last year. I decided that since I had to take everything apart for the one year cleaning event that I might as well take the opportunity to go ahead and upgrade the loop as a whole. There was a leak that occurred during my first build iteration that caused the RGB lighting in the GPU block to short out, which is something that is getting fixed at the beginning of April. I'm also taking that opportunity to drain the loop and make the loop order a little more efficient. This has been my first liquid cooling loop, and I chose this particular case to build into because of the unboxing video JayzTwoCents did on it. One of the biggest issues I had when it came to the upgrades I've done on the loop thus far was the pressure of the loop itself. In one iteration I considered I was going to have an Eisball pump/res combo but that ended up getting scratched. While I love everything about this build once I got everything working and without any leaking I realized a few things I could have, and will be doing differently as I already have the parts needed on order. First some extra 90º fittings, one of which will be getting placed on the bottom of the reservoir with a 10mm extension. From there I'm going to take the quick disconnect from the bottom radiator and move it to the pump with the black top's out port with a 90º fitting while taking another 90º fitting and putting it on the acrylic top pump with a direct downflow into the bottom radiator. I realized this should have been done solely for the purpose of being able to remove the bottom and front rads with the pumps and reservoir still attached without having to drain either one after taking a good long hard look at the loop order. Along with replacing the RGB strip in my GPU block I will be replacing the stock Red Devil backplate with one made by Alphacool and adding a 45º fitting on the end of the port that it fills the top radiator thru allowing a shorter run there as well. I'm switching the in/out ports on the back radiator and rerouting the connection between the two radiators to go around the quick disconnect on the reservoir while also adding a final quick disconnect to the front radiator allowing both radiators to be removed without having to drain the loop, if need be. The backplate replacement is only to help clean things up in the look. Other little additions are the 90º 24-pin ATX and two 8-pin 180º PCI-E power adapters and the LinkUp PCI-E Gen 4 riser cable. The first few photos are the original layout I attempted a year ago with the kit I bought from Alphacool, followed by the final layout once I got the Helix res and D5 pump. The third photo is of an iteration I had considered using the Alphacool Eisball pump/res combo that ended up not working out. All of the rest of the photos are of the build as it currently sits in my office.

PC 2 I made for my spouse to work on and also play pc games with me. Most of the games I play are found on Steam, Blizzard, Epic Games, LoL, Valorant, etc. I'm a OIF/OEF Vet myself, my teenage kids wanted to get into PC gaming (they're "upgrading" from consoles/Fortnite) and I come from an automotive repair background so putting together a PC is trivial in comparison to an engine or fine tuning suspension for an auto cross track. Anywho, future upgrades to include the new 6800 XT or some 3080's were available but I'll deal with having 5700 XT's for now as a place holder. Almost returned both these NZXT cases (still within 30day window) and buy 2 new Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini cases + 12*LL120 case fans but too lazy to take apart both PC components JUST to have the NEW case.

I feel very exciting about it, although it took me weeks of non-stop refreshing of all kinds of website in order to get my hands on the Gigabyte RTX 3080 and AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. I wanted to find the perfect display for my Lego marvel figures, and was surprised to find out that the space and color fits perfectly for my Captain America. Overall, I really enjoy the past 2 months of youtube parts researching, non stop website refreshing, the nervous moment of pressing the power switch for the 1st time and hopping there is no smoke coming out of the motherboard. Microcenter has been a great resource for me since they are local, and the social media accounts are very interactive and responsive. Using the quote to end my description, "This is one small step for me, one giant leap for my DIY life".

This is my general purpose computer, for gaming it is mainly FPS and sports games. Primarily Madden, COD for those styles in addition to Civ VI, Rome II and other games in that style. In addition its used for my school work and overall day to day computing needs. I do need to add some RGB strips to the bottom of the case to illuminate the after market PSU shroud I got from ColdZero. I also put in CableMod cables to match the coloring of the build. As an alumni of Ohio State University I did make the Ram into a crude block O with the RGB, may not keep it that way but was fun to do.
