It has zero RGB and is able to really show the blackness in its all its glory. The PC runs quiet, was a lot easier to cable manage since it has no extra cables from the RGB and performs very well at 1440p. I really wanted to use a larger cooler but fitting it into an ITX pc case is very difficult.$1,184.95 -

After a couple of years of having an SFF gaming build, I decided that I want to go back to ATX. This build is a combination of reusing parts from the past along with black friday buys. I play Overwatch, Counter Strike 2, Valheim, Elden Ring, and lately have been playing all of the Kingdom Hearts game at 4k. The 3070 works well at 4k for me. On less demanding games I can fully saturate my 160hz 4k monitor, and at more intensive games I can reach 80fps with some graphics tweaks. I plan to upgrade to the 5800x3d, and in the future plan to upgrade to the next gen gpu's, but my 3070 has been treating me great so far so not really pressured to upgrade my gpu yet.$1,194.96 -

I build this pc for my littler brother who just wanted to get back into gaming since his razer laptop bit the dust recently. Luckily, one of my friends is upgrading their pc and they were looking to sell some of their old parts. These parts are a nice upgrade from his 2017 razor laptop. He didn't want a case, more like outright refusing to buy, so i respected his wishes and built it. Dust would most likely be an issue, however, he's cleans his entire gaming setup twice a week so I guess it won't be as much of an issue. He's using this to play games like Phasmophobia, Overwatch, and more recently Lethal Company at 4k. What surprised me is that even at 4k the 3070 is still very capable, and for those less demanding games like Overwatch he was able to fully saturate his monitor at 4k 160hz (at low settings but that's how he was playing at 1080p anyways). In terms of noise, the pc is in a high noise floor environment anyways so it is completely inaudible (I can only imagine how loud the pc is in a more normal noise floor environment).$410.00 -

I built this PC with primarily the dual purpose of gaming and doing design work. It does both of them very well! And then this isn't necessarily any hardware inside the build, but I have active display port and usb cables so I can run the PC in my basement and have my monitors and necessary USB peripherals at my desk in my office 1 floor above. That way I can keep the heat of my PC out of my office, which is great especially in the summer!$1,906.92 -

For general usage, some gaming. I wish I had more games to play but most modern games are either absolute trash that isn't worth playing or indies that are worth playing but don't require much in the terms of power. The 3900XT I got on sale after the 5000 series came out, works well, cooled by a Noctua NH D15. Should I have waited to get a 5950X? Maybe, but I don't need that much. 32GB of ram, surprisngly I regularly use around 24GB of it so I'm glad I went over the 16GB I usually default to. The motherboard is alright, it works. The 5700XT has to be the centerpiece, I replaced the original cooler with a Raijintek Morpheus II and two Noctua fans. Never goes below 55c even during full load and is always silent. A much better experience compared to when the fan bearings were worn to the point of buzzing from casual mining for a few years. Despite the drama surrounding crypto this 5700XT has heated my room during the winter and put food onto the table for the past two years. Can't complain about that. The PSU I'm glad I went a little overkill initially. When I got this I had a Ryzen 5 1400 and an RX560, something that could probably be powered by a 450W unit. However now it's still got plenty of extra for further upgrades. The case is a Corsair 275Q. It's not very quiet and difficult to work in. I would have rather bought a quality test bench with this money. I need lots of hard drive space.$1,860.89 -

After spending a couple months in lockdown, I realized my non-gaming laptop with a faulty eGPU wasn't going to last me much longer. I had been interested in PCs for a while and in May 2020 I decided to go for it. I mostly use it for gaming, school work, and some general computer stuff. Turns out the used GTX 970 I got bundled with my eGPU on eBay was the problem so that lasted about two weeks in my build. I found a used RX 470 4G for about $80 in June (just before prices skyrocketed) and unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to pick up a 30-series or RX 6000 GPU, but for now, it gets the job done. I've done a few small upgrades over the last year and a bit including going from the stock Wraith cooler that came with my 3600 to the Noctua U12S, Asiahorse cable extensions, an additional 1TB SSD, 16 to 32GB RAM, and a better PSU. A new GPU is next on my list (just like everyone else), ideally the RX 6800XT Midnight Black. In the future, I want to try my hand in an ITX rebuild in the FormD T1.$1,652.49
