They've recently gotten really interested in playing simulation games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Cooking Simulator. They contacted me recently and were distraught that these two games they recently purchased do not run well on the laptop they've been using. As a result, we decided to do a cheap pc build was thrown together for the purposes of their light gaming.$444.94 -

Can played games at 4k, 1440p, or 1080p easily (watch 5700xt benchmarks on YT for more specifics). Very fast M.2 storage speeds allow this build to boot and launch games extremely fast. Addressable RGB lights in software settings. The top of the case has a wireless charging pad for your phone or any wireless charging capable device. I built this August 2022, so it is less than a year old. Everything in it is less than a year old except for the CPU, GPU and SATA SSD - each of those from early 2020. These parts have been handled very well and mostly have been used for light work (Microsoft Office, Chrome, Discord, etc.) and occasional gaming. Pretty proud of this one as ITX builds are hard to build in but it turned out looking very nice.$1,095.95 -

This build is the result of many, many case swaps and hardware changes due to my interests varying over time. I started off with the NR200P as my first SFF build, and I wanted to go smaller. I then swapped to the NZXT H1 due to its great price with how much you're getting. While I liked the size of the H1, I felt the need to switch back to the NR200P due to cooling being a limiting factor. After that, I managed to get a Meshlicious for free, and I swapped to it for a good while. I then swapped to a mid-tower build momentarily due to me getting some awesome deals for hardware, but in the end, I much prefer smaller builds. What prompted the switch from ATX is me getting an NCase M1 V6.1 for under $150. While the M1 is the smallest case I've owned up to this point, I wanted smaller. It was then that I managed to buy a black Dan A4 H20 with the Gen4 riser for just $80. That is what I'm settling with for some time. This is very much a gaming rig, but I also want it to be quiet to the point where I can hardly hear it. The new EK Nucleus 240mm AIO serves just that. It's a great cooler, but I do occasionally hear the pump for whatever reason. The fans are also relatively quiet, so I'm satisfied with noise. I've moved through several GPUs already, hoping that I'd settle with one. At the end, I'm using the Midnight Black Reference RX 6800XT. I definitely plan on upgrading to the 13600K so I can fully utilize the ram's speed. As for the games I play, it simply depends on what I feel like playing. Sometimes, I'll play FPS games, and other times I'll be playing more hard to run but "casual" games such as Doom Eternal, God of War, and the Spider-Man games.$1,377.00 -

He only plays war thunder, APEX, and other non-graphical intense games, so 3060ti is good enough. He was very happy to have his very first own gaming PC. I'd say the only thing holding it back is the gpu but for a compact build it's plenty powerful! I would go with a different gpu unless your fine with it being oversized for the case (still max temps are 69 C) I play multiversus, Sons of the Forest, rocket league, Call of Duty warzone 2.0(not much), and Fall guys on this rig now a bit. they all play perfectly except the forest (early access[solid 60ish with stutters]) I would recommend maybe a rx 6700 or 6800 but at least that gives me a upgrade path!$1,671.90 -

I am going to fix it up when I upgrade my heatsink. It's currently on stock heatsink that came with the CPU. When I play games, the CPU core temperature is around 55C. It's not a huge problem, but I will definitely upgrade before summer hits. I am using this PC primary for gaming. I have played Wild heart and Apex on this PC. It's running very smoothly even at ultra graphical setting. No lag or drag. Overall, I am very happy with this setup.$1,754.95 -

I have a PC for gaming, but I do not have a dedicated PC for streaming and video capture. My gaming PC had to handle both the game and streaming. It wasn't ideal because when the game crashes my PC, I had to restart my stream. So I decided to build another PC just for streaming. Since this is for streaming, I don't need "state of art" parts. I got all parts needed for this build for only around ~900 buck. I was able to pick up a used GTX 1660 for 80 bucks on ebay. I also picked up elgato 4k capture card. It's probably the most expensive part in this build, but it's worth it. Although I built this for streaming, it can handle light/casual gaming as well thanks to the 1660 GTX GPU.$1,057.96 -

I built this system with the goal of assembling a very budget-conscious machine that could still provide adequate performance for gaming at light to medium settings. It will be used mainly at 1080p and sometimes I might hook it up to a 1440p monitor to see how it manages. Microcenter was definitely a solid option for me to get the cpu, motherboard (combo discount) and gpu all at prices a little below what they go for on the major online retailers. One thing I might have done wrong was intially trying out an open-box graphics card. I had problems with that one displaying video even on initial motherboard post. So looking back on the process, I should have saved time and just bought the new graphics card I ended up exchanging for.$731.96 -
