I've been building computers since college, and my setup completely exploded during quarantine throughout the pandemic. I expanded to four monitors (one 4k and three 1440p), surround sound, Ryzen, a 3080ti, a home built IKEA desk, and an NZXT H510 Flow. The rig is for everything: gaming, graphic design/Photoshop, home theater, work-from-home station, and web browsing. My most recent additions are the LG 4k monitor, the EVGA 3080 ti, and the H510 Flow.$6,005.84 -

I built this rig for the primary purpose of 4K gaming, VR gaming, and learning overclocking. I built my first computer in 2007 in high school and since have dreamed of building another over the years. Being in school and while working my way up left me barely enough time to sleep and no money to eat. I now finally have the ability to work from home and I wanted to celebrate with a gaming pc. My brothers and best friends are big into gaming and I can finally join them! In process of building this pc I helped both of my brothers and two of my friends build their gaming pc, all with parts from microcenter at St. David’s! We can finally game together, these computers have brought us all together enduring the crazy year. About the build: Since I am a old counsel gamer I wanted my rig to be in my living room. So I paired the system with a 120hz 75” Samsung 4K 8 series tv and a bowers and Wilkins panaorama 2 sound bar. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5600x GPU: Strix 3090 OC RAM: trident z neo 32gb 3600cl16 Storage: 1tb xpg pcie 4.0 nvme, seagate 3tb hdd PSU: Corsair AX1200 MOBO: Asus TUF x570 plus WiFi Cooling: NZXT x73 Kraken push/pull configuration Case: NZXT H710i black, custom silver cable cover$5,967.94 -

Just love all the Corsair RGB Ecosystem and the current audio setup. Mainly stream Phone Games but I am streaming other games as well. This machine is what I run my business on (dbw-media.com), as well as my hobbies. I've played guitar since the age of 5, and eventually got into music production and also DJing. I stream DJ sets on Twitch (xxDamianUSxx) as well as upload recorded sets to YouTube. Having shopped at Microcenter for around 20 years building PCs, I am honored to share this top-level build! Yes, I obviously also play games on this rig, so don't worry!! (CyberPunk 2077, Eve Online, Star Citizen, Destiny 2 and World of Tanks).$5,913.79 -

Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

Snagged a Zotac 4090 off of Amazon for 1699 right before they disappeared from everywhere. 140mm fans look great! (too bad they don't have a 420mm Gallahad). And no... I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.$5,825.81 -

This gaming rig has been one of those projects that's been in the making for a lifetime. I've always wanted a gaming rig that matched what I've always seen from "art" looking builds. Big glass panels, fans all over the place, water cooling, and just overkilled for the sake of overkill. Over the last few years I had experimented with water cooling with custom loops, AIO's and all other configurations to get to this point. Honestly this build only happened because the 011 XL came out. At that point I had majority of my parts but in a Define R7. Swapping out and putting into a new home was priority number 1 for me. Moving everything out, and planning the loop the way I wanted with the blocks I wanted was a months long project at the beginning of the year. What sucked was going through multiple iterations of this build, as there was always something else i wanted to add or change. Over the course of this year, I got COVID just as I was starting to perform the build. It sucked because as I finished the first round of the build, I ended up in the hospital. Upon my recovery, it right there waiting for me, but I still wasn't satisfied. Found new mobo, swapped that out, went with monoblock, decided on clear tubing, and decided to veritcally mount the GPU. This PC has gone through multiple iterations, but I think where it's at now, is probably peak of what I'll reach with the current hardware I have. I would love to get my hands on a 3080 founders and a new EK waterblock for those founders, but I will need to be a patient bee for that one for now lol. As of now though, this gaming machine was a lifelong project turned reality all thanks to a new case that met all of my needs. Add that the time it took to gather the hardware, and BAM. We have what we have here. I am adding pictures of the buildout process as well as where it was, and where it's now.$5,758.95 -

I wanted to create my first hard line tubing build, and wanted to try to make rgb look good. So I went with a minimalist color palette to let the rgb shine, among the black, nickel, and clear components. I also wanted to try a vertical gpu mount, which lead me down the path of creating 3d printed parts as the stuck mount was unappealing to me. I also have included my fiber 10gbit nic behind the gpu, another factor that influenced my vertical bracket design. Lian Li provides the 3d model for my case freely, which made the prototyping phase much faster. In hindsight I wish I had incorporated a modification to the top cover plate to allow greater airflow, the system can get quite toasty with a few games like Cyberpunk. I work from home and game on the same pc, so I don't have any channel or such to promote. Since I am limited to a few photos here without context, I would like to share the forum link where I have my full build log you can check out for additional photos https://hardforum.com/threads/project-black-glass.2015333/$5,737.21 -

As a graphic designer with a dying MacBook pro, I desperately needed a replacement for work that could render without lagging and hours of waiting. After a while, I also decided that I wanted to game on that computer, what's the point of having two graphic cards if you won't play a couple of games. Plus, everything looks so impressive on a 5k screen, so crisp! I needed specifics parts that were compatible with Hackintosh; it was a lot of research but fun! This was my first build with a glass panel, and I felt it looked a little sad and empty. Since I also needed a place to store all my little Disney creatures, they all ended up inside it (temperatures are still surprisedly low)!$5,590.61 -

This build is primarily built for gaming, such as playing CyberPunk 2077, GTA V, Forza Motorsport Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Death Loop, and others. I don't play online much as I have always preferred playing offline at my own pace. I'm a diehard campaign guy. When I'm not gaming on this its lots of surfing the internet and streaming videos on YouTube. I am not a streamer on Twitch or anything though I am contemplating doing so in the future. Would buy the Elgato face camera. With a rig like this why not take advantage of it? Case is built in the Corsair 5000D airflow in white along with black computer parts. Always loved Corsairs computer cases and this one caught my eye right away once I started seeing advertisements for it on YouTube. I have always been a fan of the black parts on white case contrast vs the "whiteout" or "blackout" builds everyone else seems to be doing. The fans I chose to use are the new Lian Li UNI AL120mm fans, which are AWESOME. Every other manufacture needs to create daisy chain-able fans like this. Game changer for cable management. I did decide to take advantage of the extra side fans the 5000d airflow allows you to use, bringing my total number of fans to 10. This is more of an experiment by me as I'm honestly not sure how much they will truly help my thermals. Will probably keep them just for the look more than anything. Makes the case seem much more full. I am never settled with my rig and am always tweaking it (currently talking myself out of Intel 12th gen as my CPU still is awesome). The next change I see myself doing is getting some custom power supply cables from Cable Mod to really give this build a professional look. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though.$5,580.93
