Hello, this pc has been through many years of gaming and general desktop use, it started about 2 years ago when I realized I wanted a computer, I saved until I could finally have enough to have one to start with, I loved playing games like valorant, fortnite, csgo, gta, mine craft and other games. Slowly overtime I've upgraded it until I have the 1440p gaming machine I have now, I love this pc and it handles any game I throw at it with no issues mostly.$1,353.44 -

The building process went very smoothly besides my PSU cables being a very tight fit to the GPU. For a budget mid-range PC, I think it's a pretty decent little build.$1,041.92 -

After a couple of years of having an SFF gaming build, I decided that I want to go back to ATX. This build is a combination of reusing parts from the past along with black friday buys. I play Overwatch, Counter Strike 2, Valheim, Elden Ring, and lately have been playing all of the Kingdom Hearts game at 4k. The 3070 works well at 4k for me. On less demanding games I can fully saturate my 160hz 4k monitor, and at more intensive games I can reach 80fps with some graphics tweaks. I plan to upgrade to the 5800x3d, and in the future plan to upgrade to the next gen gpu's, but my 3070 has been treating me great so far so not really pressured to upgrade my gpu yet.$1,194.96 -

He loves a lot of the "simulator" games for some reason and was complaining that the game Cooking Simulator wouldn't run at an acceptable level on an aging (~2017) laptop notebook with no discrete video card. So since it was around Christmas time, I decided for the "give a man to fish / teach a man to fish" approach. I pieced together a very modest collection of desktop components. Some of these were older, retired components such as a dated power supply and graphics card. Others were available to acquire at little expense at my local Microcenter. But the whole point of this process was to create an affordable, entry-level stepping stone for him. And also to have components that were fairly replaceable in value in the event something went wrong or accidents were made.$229.96 -

This was a budget build I did for a friend, keeping cost in mind, but also a clean look and decent performance. The combination of Ryzen 5600 with RX 6600 is amazing, giving me over 200fps on fortnite (performance mode) on a 1080p, for the budget, this is an amazing build, still looking cool and modern. Sadly, all prices went up in microcenter a month later and I'm not able to replicate this build, the cheapest I could find was a Ryzen 5500 with GTX 1660 Super and a B450 board, paying over $50 on tob of this build, too sad.$664.91 -

They have a shared desk space, and a limited area. I also love small form factor, and doing new things in the space. So I used my favorite PC case (FormD T1) and put not one, but two fuly functional PCs in it. One is a Ryzen APU PC, and the other is a low TDP intel CPU paired with an Nvidia GPU (I covered the big three chip makers in one box!). Single slot GPU was essential, so a professional card was about the only option. (1070 Katana's are incredibly rare).$1,611.94 -

All those random gift cards acquired through the last month of holidays were using to subsidize the acquisition costs associated with on a new power supply (Corsair 100w), graphics card (7800 XT 16gb), and cpu cooler. I decided to keep my existing cpu (AMD Ryzen 5 3600) and motherboard (MSI B450 Tomahawk) because gaming benchmarks still show the 3600 to be pretty decent across the board.$1,074.93 -

Recently I had my older brother mention to me that he was interested in building a budget-friendly pc for him sometime soon that would be close to a PS5 in performance. Well, little does he know that the build is now done! And wiring up this desciption is my way of venting some enthusiam about the build wihout actually giving it to him as a gift this Christmas. He specifdically wants to play the first God of War game on pc because he knows it runs a lot better on pc than on console. I went with an Intel i5 12400 cpu because it's was the best performance-to-price product in my price range. But I did have to buy a seperate air cooler. I didn't want to trust that wimpy Intel air cooler than comes in the retail 12400 package. (It looks basically like the same aluminum cooler they've used for years but now have painted it black.)$751.91
