Built for virtual machines, gaming, video / photo editing, bench marking, and general purpose. This thing is a montster. I built a second tower for twin tower setup out of the previous 2990wx rig , that will be uploaded when I get a chance as well. I shouldn't need to upgrade anything for an extremely long time. When I built this monster it held down the #1 Timespy extreme cpu only record on 3dmark for a month. I was able to get a 4.6ghz all core overclock stable for the 3990x which is insane. I might move for a chiller setup to see how much further I can push the processor, Anything beyond 4.6 even on a custom loop is just not worth the risk. My daily usage is running PBO (no real need to run it OC since PBO does an amazing job). Anyone who needs a lot of cores and computing power, the 3990x is great. I would not recommend dropping that kind of money for a simple gaming machine though. Anyone that is considering going chrome plated copper, Go for it, takes a little more time and planning but the results are amazing.

This rig is used for everything from everyday use to streaming, to PLEX server, to hardcore flight simming. It's my do everything rig and Im proud that everything works with no issues no matter what I through at it. I had multiple machines that I used for various tasks around the house and gaming, but decided to consolidate into single machine which is now what you see here; Vader. Vader is an Intel 10900K 5.4ghz behemoth boasting 64gb of G.Skill Ripjaws overclocked to 4000mhz cl15, an ASUS Strix OC 2080ti with a 1060 daughter card for more displays, 50tb of HDD disk space, 4tb of Samsung Evo powered NVME goodness, and more monitors than most people can handle - 7 (65in Oled, 2 LG 34in, 1 Acer 38in, and 4 ASUS 22in touchscreens). Audio for this machine is power by a Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro MQA DAC that feeds a Monoprice 887 amp leading to the reference level Sennheiser HD800S with seat attached bass shakers and a Jet Seat for rumble immersion. Input devices are led by an iKBC MF87 keyboard, Corsair m65 mouse, 3 Elgato Stream Decks - Mini, Default, and XL, a Real Simulator joystick, Thrustmaster TPR pedals, Winwing Throttle, 2 DSD button boxes, and a TrackIR This whole machine is a never ending upgrading monster. I always tell my wife that Ill be done after the next upgrade, but low and behold there is always one more over the next horizon.

A perfect example of something going well beyond the original intent. This all started from my corsair 500d case not fitting two 360mm rads, an AIO for the CPU and the rad for my RTX 3090 K|NGP|N hybrid card. I determined I needed a bigger case to fit them both thus came the 1000d. Plenty big enough right? Sure. Actually it was too big because hoses on the AIOs were too SHORT! Then I decided to research and understand what this 1000d case really was. Of course this thing is targeting custom water cooling. A year later we have the bohemoth.

I decided to just go all out and get mostly ASUS ROG products. Little overkill from what I'm told but I'm really happy with it all. The fact that I switched over from Xbox specifically for VR is hilarious. I will never buy another console. I sadly paid a scalper for my Strix 3090 because I did not want to wait for the unseeable future. Very happy to have the help of Greg and David to help build this monster! The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990x just launched yesterday on February 7, 2020. This processor has 64 cores, 128 threads, and 256mb cache. This is my 3rd build since I started PC Gaming, I've built everyone! Shout-out to Microcenter for always having what I need! I play everything from CoD, to League of Legends, to Minecraft. this beautiful machine handles it all! I was hoping to upgrade my GPUs that I took from my last build, but things are a bit crazy in that regards right now! Though my current setup still gets the job done extremely nicely! So far I've overclocked the CPU to 5.0GHz, the highest I was able to get it was 5.4, but I feel safer at 5.0 with a lower voltage, for daily use. I love that my PC is able to handle anything I throw at it and the temperatures are beautiful too. CPU and GPUs are liquid cooled and it sure makes a difference! **For some reason whenever I upload a photo it keeps flipping them T_T

I wanted to build try SLI but I my allowance didn't allow me. Fast forward several years, I was able to build it for gaming and video editing. The games I play are Hitman II, GTA V, Genshin Impact, Bloons TD6, TF2 and Maplestory. I am still trying to financially recover from this. I would like to get some large hard drives in the future and perhaps install an HBA to increase the number of drives I can have or possibly a 10 gig card so I can potentially use my PC as a NAS. I am considering getting some RGB strips because you gotta have them. My system is kinda dark since I bought Noctuas over something like LLs from Corsair since cooling is a bigger priority and lighting can be done separately. The biggest mistake was getting cable extensions and not buying sleeved cables. I have a crazy amount of cable length to manage. The ARGB on my cooler master was loose with my motherboard and I cannot control the RGB through software. I really wish it were a better fit so I wouldn't have to pop the side panel off when I want to change colors.

This machine is a culmination of several years of saving and several months of hunting parts on every possible retailer. Sitting out in the lines in front of Micro Center on cold January mornings, watching dozens upon dozens of browser tabs from every possible online retailer refreshing across six displays. Finally, it runs. 2019/2020 were some pretty rough years so this is a present to myself. Cable management isn't complete because PCIE riser cable is not PCIE4.0 compatible, and the card has to come out again at some point, the radiator also has to be remounted because supplied screws weren't quite long enough, and there is temporary hardware installed for now. AIO head unit cover is not in place until radiator is remounted (need hose slack to install).Once all cable management is complete and parts are finally in place permanently, all the peel will come off. Practically 100% ASUS ROG build, hence the build name, ROG HARD.. Raid took some effort to get working as the documentation hasn't been updated for 5000 series CPU's. Currently the system is overclocked to 4.6ghz all cores, and GPU boosts to 2025. I built this monster for 3d/2d art, CAD, 3d printing, video editing, streaming, gaming, might try some mining too, just to learn the ropes. I live streamed the build form the living room while I am remodeling the spare room into a stream studio. Once I move it into the the studio I will set up the full triple monitor lay out.

Custom water cooled build with a 5950x OC'd to 5.1ghz, EVGA FTW3 ultra 3090 and Corsair Vengeance RGB 32gb ram @4000mhz. Funny story about my CPU. Micro Center in Rockville Md. was showing one in stock. So I drove 2hrs and once I got there they told me it was a error on the website. I was so bummed out.. I started driving home and decided to check at another Micro Center in Parkville Md. I jokingly ask a sales person if they had a 5950's expecting him to say no. He then said that he think's they just received a handful just a few minutes ago. I almost fell over with excitement. OK, this is my second pc build and my first custom water pc. I built this rig for gaming mainly, But also have been flirting with xoc. Best port royal score is 14028. Wanna break that 15,000. Time Spy Extreme 10543. I consider my self a hard core gamer, have about 4000 hours in destiny. I play a lot of story driven games Witcher3, Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, Nier Automata and Half Life Alex. I built this PC just to be able to play Cyberpunk in 4k. Lol Kind of let down by the game. One thing I wish I would have done different was use all EK parts. Rads and CPU cooler. But I'm proud of the job I did on this pc. I had a lot of fun planning out the build and mapping out the piping. And I hope you enjoy the pictures. Cheers.

Left PC gaming back when the XBox first came out and stopped building PC's and just gamed on my XBoxs over the years. This is the first year after having my XBox glod for over 16 years and I am not getting the newest release due to joining back into the PC world. I custom built this PC last spring starting out with an AMD Ryzen 7 and then upgraded the bios on the MSI X470 Gaming Pro MB to allow me to drop the AMD Ryzen 9 3900x in the system. I am running the Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 4x8gb ram. As for the Hard drives I have an NVME 1tb, Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500gb, 2x Samsung SSD 860 EVO1 TB, Samsung 8TB external, WD 2TB external, EVGA RTX 2080 TI FTW3, all cooled with a EKWB custom loop with the water block on the GPU and CPU flowing into 2x360mm radiators separate for each unit running the blood red coolant. Power supply is the EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2. I was able to run some of the black and red cabling but need to order more for the video card. I am also waiting for the 3pin DRGB controller to come back in stock for the LED control for the EKWB water blocks and pump. Hope you enjoy the build. Removed the top and front cover to help with the airflow through the radiators. All of this was build in the NZXT 710i case.

I started with an AMD Ryzen 3800X paired with a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master motherboard to give me the power of Ryzen's multi-core performance with some high quality VRM cooling and power delivery and future upgradeable path of the X570 chipset. Then I added a "Royal" touch to this build with 4x8GB G.Skill Trident Z Royal Silver RAM rated at DDR4-3600, to further set this build apart I then went with the NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO CPU cooler set up in a Push/Pull configuration. Phanteks and their superb Eclipse P600S Mid-Tower Case provides this build with great airflow and stunning aesthetics, particularly with the ability to vertically mount my GPU, which in this case is a Asus ROG STRIX 2080TI Advanced. Finally to add the finishing touches to this build I used Lian Li's Strimer Plus power connectors to provide that extra bit of Grand flair, these are connected to my EVGA P2 850W power supply and I have them connected to my motherboard and GPU. For airflow I have Six Phanteks 120mm fans at the top of the case in a push/pull config, with a 140mm Phanteks fan at the rear of the case set up as exhaust. The front of the case has two Phanteks 140mm Fans drawing in the cool air. As for upgrades, in the near future I'm looking at upgrading to the next Ryzen generation of processors as I love the duality this family of processors provides in terms of allowing me the ability to Compile a program, or render a scene in After Effects, while still allowing me the ability to play my favorite games including VR games like Beat Saber, Half-Life Alyx, or just some of my regular favorite games like Rocket League, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Heroes of the Storm, or Star Wars Battlefront 2. I also plan on upgrading to the latest generation of Nvidia Graphics cards when they are available to hopefully utilize HDMI 2.1 to make use of the advanced gaming features of my LG 55inch OLED CX TV which I use as a monitor for my PC. To reduce the risk of burn-in I use the program Wallpaper Engine and have a playlist of video backgrounds that not only look excellent but help eliminate one of the main causes of burn in which is static images. I've also set my Windows 10 taskbar to auto hide to further reduce the risk as well as having no desktop shortcuts or icons on the desktop. For storage purposes I plan on upgrading my 3 NVME drives which are currently the 2TB version of Intel's 660p drives with PCI-E 4.0 compatible drives to increase IO Speeds. Finally for my Keyboard I use the fantastic Dygma Raise which is an ergonomic split mechanical keyboard, this Keyboard is absolutely incredible and I can't recommend it highly enough. For my mouse I use the Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse, and for a headset I use the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless which is a fantastic set of cans with a decent enough microphone.

After looking at the motherboard and processor sitting in the box for a while I decided to go twin tower 900's. I then went off and got all the remaining parts needed to complete this build. This machine is extremely powerful and good for everything I throw at it. 2990wx got a bad reputation due to windows scheduling not dealing with 2 numa nodes well. I was on console for the longest time and I was finally convinced to get a PC by my friends (they were all on PC and I was the only one on PS4). So August of 2020 I bought my first PC a Cyberpower Pre-Built. It was super basic a Ryzen 3600 and 2060 Super but it got the job done for me and I was hooked. Fast forward to 2021 I moved back to Texas and sold my house in Nevada and made a good chunk of my money so.....I decided to build my dream PC! I started with the basics (case, AIO, Ram) but then I thought "I can afford it....why not build the most expensive, over the top, build I can......" So the hunt began.....I spent weeks refreshing best buy, newegg, microcenter, etc trying to find an RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 5900x or 5950x. Slowly but surely I was finding the parts I wanted. I needed fans so I looked for the most expensive fans I could find at the time they were Lian Li Unifans. My ram went from a 16gb 3200 kit to a 64gb 3600mhz Corsair kit. I looked at my current monitor, a spectre 1080p 24.5in 165hz budget monitor and I upgraded that to a ROG 27in 2560x1440p 175hz monitor to do this build justice. I was excited BUT when the time came to build it I was having a panic attack because I had never built a PC before and I didn't want to break anything. I played Bitwits "how to build a PC" video on my TV and I had that sucker on a loop. I was rewinding, fast forwarding, and watching everything he did with a fine tooth comb to make sure I didn't mess up. Total build time.....I spent a solid 8hrs building this PC. But turning it on for the first time and seeing her come alive was one of the best feelings I had ever had. 10/10 would do it again. I'm now at a point where I want to build a streaming PC just for fun, it's an addiction and I'm glad I went through it.

I built this rig for the primary purpose of 4K gaming, VR gaming, and learning overclocking. I built my first computer in 2007 in high school and since have dreamed of building another over the years. Being in school and while working my way up left me barely enough time to sleep and no money to eat. I now finally have the ability to work from home and I wanted to celebrate with a gaming pc. My brothers and best friends are big into gaming and I can finally join them! In process of building this pc I helped both of my brothers and two of my friends build their gaming pc, all with parts from microcenter at St. David’s! We can finally game together, these computers have brought us all together enduring the crazy year. About the build: Since I am a old counsel gamer I wanted my rig to be in my living room. So I paired the system with a 120hz 75” Samsung 4K 8 series tv and a bowers and Wilkins panaorama 2 sound bar. This gaming rig has been one of those projects that's been in the making for a lifetime. I've always wanted a gaming rig that matched what I've always seen from "art" looking builds. Big glass panels, fans all over the place, water cooling, and just overkilled for the sake of overkill. Over the last few years I had experimented with water cooling with custom loops, AIO's and all other configurations to get to this point. Honestly this build only happened because the 011 XL came out. At that point I had majority of my parts but in a Define R7. Swapping out and putting into a new home was priority number 1 for me. Moving everything out, and planning the loop the way I wanted with the blocks I wanted was a months long project at the beginning of the year. What sucked was going through multiple iterations of this build, as there was always something else i wanted to add or change. Over the course of this year, I got COVID just as I was starting to perform the build. It sucked because as I finished the first round of the build, I ended up in the hospital. Upon my recovery, it right there waiting for me, but I still wasn't satisfied. Found new mobo, swapped that out, went with monoblock, decided on clear tubing, and decided to veritcally mount the GPU. This PC has gone through multiple iterations, but I think where it's at now, is probably peak of what I'll reach with the current hardware I have. I would love to get my hands on a 3080 founders and a new EK waterblock for those founders, but I will need to be a patient bee for that one for now lol. As of now though, this gaming machine was a lifelong project turned reality all thanks to a new case that met all of my needs. Add that the time it took to gather the hardware, and BAM. We have what we have here. I am adding pictures of the buildout process as well as where it was, and where it's now.

Everything is mounted to the wall and the desk raises and rolls out. Mostly I use it to watch Netflix and help developers build code. There is enough power to do vr and run some containers. As a graphic designer with a dying MacBook pro, I desperately needed a replacement for work that could render without lagging and hours of waiting. After a while, I also decided that I wanted to game on that computer, what's the point of having two graphic cards if you won't play a couple of games. Plus, everything looks so impressive on a 5k screen, so crisp! I needed specifics parts that were compatible with Hackintosh; it was a lot of research but fun! This was my first build with a glass panel, and I felt it looked a little sad and empty. What started out as a simple build in late January, to help process photos in Lightroom and 4k drone footage, quickly got out of hand as March rolled around and everyone one was stuck inside. Next, after a 13 year hiatus Steam was installed back on the computer and CSGO with the old crew was back in full swing. The bones of this system in January were a Ryzen 9 3900, Asus TUF x570, Gskill 32gb, Raedeon 580, a Samsung Evo 970 pro n.2 and a Corsair HX Power supply pretty grand prix by some standards. With all the hours of usage added to the machine in March I couldn't go forward without making a couple of major upgrades. On more than one occasion (two) I maxed out the 32gb of ram in Lightroom and Premiere so that was the first upgrade 128gb ddr4 RGB Corsair Vengeance. Also, when I first bought the Ryzen 9 3900 I didn't fully realize what a powerhouse I was getting. Pairing the Ryzen 9 up with the Raedeon 580 felt like owning a Ferrari and putting regular gasoline in it. The next upgrade was the RTX 2080ti. It felt a little bit dangerous running all these components with a power supply that was 8 years old so after doing a bit of research I found that the Corsair RM850 had some of the best acoustics in the RM series. Other notable mentions in the computer are all Noctua coolers and fans also chosen for acoustic qualities. The last bit was I realized I still had an N.2 space to fill so I grabbed a 2TB XPG S50 NVME drive, this thing is a rocket, I regret not installing windows on it, that's the only regret I have with this system. Onto the most important parts of the computer, the peripherals. Having a powerful supercomputer is great but it's worth nothing if you're clicking a crappy mouse and using rubber doomed keyboard switches. For the keyboard and mouse I was pretty flexible for the most part with requirements but I did have one very import requirement that limited my available selection greatly, its 2020 and they have to be wireless, I can't have wires on my desk it's just in appropriate at this point. For the mouse it was between the Logitech G703 and the Corsair equivolent. I went Logitech just because it was a bit more low profile. Keyboard was a much more complex decision with a much more complex result. There are no to very few wireless keyboard options with Cherry MX brown. So after weeks of quarantine research I went with Keychron K2 with Gateron browns, it's a great keyboard but I dove down the rabbit hole on mechanical keyboards. The result was Keychron K6 hot-swap with Zealios V2 switches and Tai Hao PBT Keys definitely a very special board and lots of fun to put together. The last peripheral that I didn't get into yet is the monitor. I started with a 32 Samsung 4k Curved. This was fine for the level of editing I was doing when I first got the computer. Once I started gaming the 60hz just didn't cut it. I grabbed an Acer Predator 4k 120hz and it was great but expensive for a 27 inch monitor, it also didn't have every feature I was looking for like HDR 1000. The only monitor that does have that is the ASUS ROG 27 which is even more expensive. After another couple of weeks of research and decision trees I decided to give the LG C9 55 inch OLED TV a try as my computer monitor wall mounted, best decision I've ever made in my entire life. It's got all the features you want from the ASUS ROG 27" monitor for the same price and its OLED the best local dimming you can have, the contrast, colors and HRD are the BEST. Lastly I'll mention the case. I made this case custom in college 10 years ago as a Hack Pro. I took a G5 Apple Case, cut the back out and threw a Lian Li Motherboard tray in soldered some wires on the front panel. During Corona Virus quarantine I took the customization to the next level. I painted the interior Matte Black to bring it up to modern standards and made more modern cable routing possible under the motherboard tray,it was one of the best 3AM start time projects I've ever done. It really elevated the level of the system. The most fun part of the project was getting everything on the front panel working and getting a female USB-C working through an old Firewire port.

Red Storm is built on a Gigabyte Z390 Xtreme board with an Intel i9-9900K CPU, 32gig of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (3600MHz); 5 Samsung SSD's (2 NVMe, 3 SATA), an AMD Radeon VII GPU. For the OS, I’m running the latest 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro, ver. 2004, build 19041.388. My Monitor is a 24-inch NEC wide gamut monitor @ 1920 x 1200. I tend to organize my files/media by drives so I use a 512gig NVME 970 Pro for my OS drive, a 1TB 970 Pro NVME for my finalized photos/work images. A 2TB 960 EVO for games, 1TB 860 EVO for music files, and 2 TB 860 EVO for on-site minor backups. This is a multimedia build used for photo editing via Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, gaming (Division 2, Metro Exodus, Skyrim), audio rips (dBpoweramp), music streaming (Plex, JRiver Media Center), and school/work (Office 365). While the system is capable of overclocks of 5.1gig, I keep it at base settings (XMP enabled) to not only insure stability, but quietness. It’s is housed in a Cooler Master H500M (mesh front) case, which has 3 case fans – a real Corsair 140mm ML (Magnetic Levitation) RGB fan, two front stock Cooler Master 200mm LED fans. The CPU cooler is a Corsair H115i Pro RGB platinum AIO with two stock 140mm ML RGB fans. The 1000-watt EVGA power supply has an Eco mode that prevents the fan from running unless the power supply is pushed. And the AMD Radeon VII (16gig of HBM VRAM) has 3 stock 75mm fans that constantly run but are silent unless pushed as in gaming (Example Division 2). The end result is an incredibly quiet build that keeps temps at bay (idle 30, loads 78ish while gaming). My room ambient temps average 76F/25C (78 summer, 74ish winter) Also connected to the PC is a Teac UD-503 USB DAC which has inputs for USB, Analogue, and Digital. I USB for clean musical sounds, and the motherboard’s built in ESS Sabre HiFi DAC (using Realtek drivers) for gaming or YouTube. I'm really happy with this build :)

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).

For Work: Lightroom Photoshop Premier Pro After Effects Blender Handbrake For Play: DCS World MSFS 2020 Cyberpunk 2077 Baldurs Gate This thing is a beast and blow my old intel setup away. I need to get a better GPU support. The dowel rod is a little out of place. I am trying to come up with something to print, but I haven’t found anything yet. I may look to upgrade the cooling system in the future. It works pretty well but I think there is room for improvement. Gaming it hits low 60’s and under heavy load in video work it will get into the low 70’s. I am considering getting 2 more fan control and rgb boards. It works fine on my current set up but I can clean up the wiring in the back a lot more if I didn’t have all of it going to a single point.

I've been a long time fan of Inwin signature cases, the H frame is one of them. I got the case in green and decide to make it a Semi nvidia themed build. I first took the case apart and powdered coat pieces ot match my overall end theme. The case has a custom rear panel for cable mounting and other small touches. I tried to make it as clean as I could given the very open nature of this case.

It was the last piece missing from my man cave. I wanted a clean build but powerful at the same time. I set the build up with dual 1440p ultrawide 100hz viewsonic monitors and an extra long hdmi to my 75” Samsung tv that is connected to my surround system via arc to the marantz receiver. This setup allows me to game at my desk or kick back on the couch with a controller. I also got a oculus quest with oculus link to play beat saber and Half Life Alyx!! I chose a EVGA 2080ti FTW3 ultra Oc to power all the monitors and TVs. I have made so many trips to microcenter during the building process I have become a regular and familiar with most of the associates at the St David’s location, btw they all rock! The complete specs are below: CPU: Ryzen 3600x Cooler: wraith prism GPU: evga 2080ti ftw3 ultra Oc RAM: trident z neo 3600 cl 16, 32gb Storage: nvme pcie 4.0 1tb, nvme pcie 3.0 1tb, seagate hdd 3tb 7200 Case: NZXT h710i VR: oculus quest connected via oculus link Monitors: 2x Viewsonic xg350r-c 1440p ultrawide, Samsung 75” 4K 7series Sound system: marantz 6008 receiver, dual mono block amps for front towers. This is a top of the line Intel based gaming behemoth. All of the components were chosen because they were, and still are, top of the line for a gaming rig. The customer brought the machine in this year for a water cooling upgrade. Planning for the custom loop was rather difficult, as the open air design of the case does not leave very many mounting options. The final result was well worth the effort. The case used for this build is the InWin D-Frame 2.0, which comes equipped with a built in 1065w power supply.

Haven't had a capable gaming pc in over 10 years and haven't actually built systems in over 20 years (my bro and I used to as teenagers). When my wife gave birth to our second son and we got a nice tax refund, my wife gave me the all-clear to get myself a new system. Bought a prebuilt at first but due to problems with the system and poor customer service, I returned it and got to researching my own build. The system started off on a Gigabyte board and NZXT case, but after more problems with certain parts, I ended up with an almost completely Corsair build. Out of all of the customer service issues I had to deal with, they are simply the best: no hassle, no run around, just fast RMA. As for the system, I use it to play mostly single player RPGs or FPS games. I love the Metro series, Divinity games, The Witcher games, Resident Evil, BattleTech and MechWarrior, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Deus Ex, and so many others. Recently I played most of the latest games with real time ray traced effects and I'm eagerly anticipating where the technology is heading. Really looking forward to a couple of other games that will feature the technology in Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire Bloodlines 2. Also really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3. Currently enjoying Season 2 of The Division 2 with my brother, and really hoping that the next Control DLC will feature Alan Wake as many expect it to be! In the future, I hope to install a hard line custom loop, likely in the Hydro X series since I already have a Commander Pro and have already installed a soft tube Hydro X loop for a friend. Sadly, I can't find a water block for my card (they appear to be EOL both at EVGA and EKWB - Corsair doesn't make one for my model), so if I want to go custom loop, I'll probably have to get a new card. Otherwise, I don't really plan any other upgrades until I replace the system maybe in five years, especially since Z390 is also the end for upgrades.

He was given a budget of $5,000 and he was able to use the brand new Intel 9900KS processor. Linus decided to use the Asus TUF Gaming GT501 case with Corsair RGB fans. He built a very powerful PC including 2 Nvidia RTX 2080 TI graphics cards. Linus put this system together in our workshop and decided he wanted to sell it. With limited time left in the day, he priced this $5,000 PC at small discount for $20! The lucky customer who first noticed this PC was purchasing it as a birthday gift for her brother. Unfortunately Linus was not able to accept credit card payment at his cardboard stand, so he knocked another $5 off the price. With $15 cash in hand, he headed to Carl's Jr. after a successful, hard day of work! Thanks so much to Linus for coming out and filming in our store. Most recent build a few years back utilized a 7700k paired with a 1080 TI and so I wanted to try an AMD CPU. Really fun building this one and I’m really pleased with the performance. I primarily wanted to have a build focused on gaming (Call of Duty, Borderlands 3, Battlefield, and other upcoming games) but also will need to support virtual machines and possibly video rendering. Also wanted room to overlock in the future. No problems with temps while gaming, pretty much upper 60’s c to 70’s c. *Samsung 960 Pro m.2 taken from my other build to use as a boot drive for OS (OS boot times are very fast). Used the Lian Li SL 120 fans for the case and Kraken Z73 (the daisy chaining is pretty cool). I do want to note that the case fans RGB cables are plugged into the fan controller that the 3x fan pack comes with, which is then plugged into the internal USB header (fan cables are then connected to fan ports on motherboard). The AIO is connected to CPU OPT and the radiator fans are connected to CPU Fan. Although the motherboard will fit in the standard Lian Li Dynamic case, I wanted more space (especially with the thicker PSU cables of the EVGA P2 1000!) so I opted for the XL. Highly recommended with the eATX board. Also happened to walk into Microcenter which had the RTX 3080 TI in stock, so I was glad to pick that up :).

I just wanted a good rig to game on, process photos or video content and maybe even do some 3D design work for my long list of hobbies. My intent was to make it nice to look at and I've never done a custom build before. No matter what i did the 3090 seemed to be in the way of showing off the nice looking X570. So I decided to vertical mount the card and so began the challenge. What followed was a lot of planning, trips to the hardware store and locating a brake to bend sheet metal that thick. Build FAQ: Custom made the bracket by hand, I have a 40cm link up riser cable twisted meticulously to reduce visibility. Also used a display port 90 adapter and two extension cables to avoid having my hdmi and Display port cables from tv coming through the case. (No loss in frame rate) Temperatures on everything runs from 5-10c cooler including the 3090. Hot air exits out the rear side of case and the top instead of blowing directly on MB. Also as a result of the 3090 not being in the way of the fans the M.2's and Ballistic Max also run a tad cooler.

I Originally had the build in the another case with a few different parts, but I really wanted to make a good looking custom loop computer. The parts were pieced together over time, building it up each time I upgraded and finally getting it to where it is now.
