Case was great to build in and had no issues with MC or any of their parts. Good prices for the parts imo but the cooler was a bit pricey. Great MB with onboard WiFi for the B550 chipset. RGB was nice to setup and I really liked how the build came out. I could only attach one photo as all my other ones were taken in portrait mode and you can’t attach those here, but the photo I attached gives a good look at how it came out.

This time around I decided to go AMD instead of my usual Intel/Nvidia build. The pc is used to play @1440p 165hz and I’d say paired up with a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx, it can easily achieve that.

First build ever using it for gaming and some SolidWorks when I need to work from home. Going to change case to something a little more tasteful and get cablemod stealth wire and extensions and just extra frill to make it look way better. The case is GREAT at keeping the components bathed in cool air, but it's just not the greatest looking case. Thinking about hardline water-cooling for the CPU and GPU that way I can keep the 7900X and 4090 cool and make the build look way cooler (If I do it right that is...) Along with anything else I may need to do on a computer. The future upgrades I see coming is adding the Lian-Li strimmer's for the 24 pin and 12 pin, and maybe 32 GB more of DDR5 ram. I have also added some of my personalization to it by adding bear-bricks in certain locations within the case.

Intended to build a video editing PC, but ended up with a gaming PC lol. Snagged a Zotac 4090 off of Amazon for 1699 right before they disappeared from everywhere. 140mm fans look great! (too bad they don't have a 420mm Gallahad). And no... I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.

I am a gamer, and I focus on graphics and smooth game play, so the games I play take up a lot of room and computing power. With a game library of over 1,000 games and constantly getting more, I have to keep adding and/or replacing parts to my rig. Anything from older Command and Conquer games, Mass Effect, Starcraft; to new hits like Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, Destiny 2, Battlefield. With this in mind I am always looking at new gear and reviews (even when not planning an upgrade) so I am able to keep up with new games while making sure I can still play the old favorites. I am looking into the streaming field as well, just not sure how to start getting followers.

I built this PC to replace my previous computer which started out as a CyberPower PC pre-built machine but had been upgraded several times over the last few years. My PC before would run just about everything to some level, but some of the newer AAA titles struggled a little bit. I decided I would build a machine that would be able to keep up with more modern AAA titles at maxed out settings. I started by choosing a case and landed on the Asus ROG Strix Helios, and after making that decision, I decided that I would theme the rest of the machine around the Asus ROG line of products.

My last rig must had gotten damaged pins on the mobo. Either way it motivated and scared me into not only getting another rig but making one with thermals as the top priority. Now I wish I had more money at the time for a beefier mobo when I had bought this but the combo is beautiful. Works better than expected. I call this build babyboy because building it woke me up even more. It was the the last push to my evolution as a dweeb. My goals become easier to follow. Building motivated me into building more. To not feel like going in my pc is daunting. It took a depressed and nearly checked out of life veteran and turned him into the kid that didn't worry about the worst life has to throw at them. Sorry anyway. Baby boy has made me dig deeper into my studying as I want to make my own Aio for a pc and even delve into engineering because I love the void that creation brings. It robs me of negative focus and gives me back passion. My PC's were always powerful and the trend continues. I am getting familiar with 3d software, mainly unreal. Working on a hard scifi novel that I might just pass to my friend to make into a video game. He loved the idea he will be graduating for programming soon. My gift to him is going to be a high powered machine. For all of his programing needs a rig on par or better than anything i can own. The things I love for the people I love. Babyboy Harkens me back to a time where I was a dorky a** black kid growing up in harlem getting bullied for "acting white" 😪 , up into my time in the infantry and even beyond where constantly get targeted for the same thing by more so the opposite of my childhood bully types. (Sorry for being vague). As you can maybe tell I think way too much. I spend alot of time in chatrooms not because I like them anymore. It's because I can generate heat better than Dominick Mysterio when I'm online. I have a Army of people who hate me on the internet and it's honestly how I get better now n days. I constantly have people discouraging me, trying to drag me down, dehumanize me, feels like the military but with folks I can't punch in the face. That oddly enough has been my source of fuel. People telling. Me I'm worthless and can't. LOL For me it's the best fuel ever. Over the course of two years my aptitude for math, science, has skyrocketed, I have built a reputation in some of the most toxic circles you can find online as a guy you should hate for no good reason at all. I love it. Computers have alot to do with this. This was what I thought about while doing my build. You get where I'm going? This experience was therapeutic for me and eye opening into who I am as a human. Babyboy helped freed a chained man. In a sense by giving me even more confidence to tackle things. For a build that was suppose to replace my i9 9900k rig. It did more than that. It set up another stage of metamorphosis. The recluse in me let's a bit too much out at times : [ sorry. As for the build. It was meant for general use. But if you seen my setup you would maybe understand i use it for much more, such as development. C++ and python coding, btw my first ever code written was program that identified your compiler written in c++, my second was a gpt 2 based learning model (in python)that same night. Now I didnt have AI help me with the second code, but still I was pretty happy with myself. I would like to animate and make a game with my best friend from those times of me getting bullied as a kid. A rpg game based in hard science. Something that gives off "three body problem" vibes. I also need to learn how to design prototypes. Like maybe some thing for the cooler I want to make. For example. 32 gb of ram even at ddr5 i feel limited in unreal engine. So I will go for possibly 128 gb over time. So a 64gb kit is in my future, then another. Next month I'm getting a 4 tb m.2 for Unreal engine alone and another for productivity needs. I have a 4 tb system now. As far as what I could have done differently. I should have gotten the h9 elite case as it has rgb fans and a controller. But pretty much the same exact case I have. I'm gonna also repair my old mobo if possible and if I can do it right, my nephew who is studying computer science but using a idohan spud will have a power relic of the 9th gen coming his way. I loved what this build did for me. It was more than just a pc build. It was as much a window or veiwport into myself, just as this summary of the build experience was. Sorry for taking that so far. I don't know how to not go 100% at times. Sorry for any typos and such. Big hands, small phone, you know the deal. I'll try to edit if possible. THANKS 😊

Pair with a super ultrawide OLED display. The purpose is for pure gaming, no work, so and manage and remove all the windows and motherboard bloatware, and the build is super smooth, quiet, cool, fast, and efficient. The AMD processor has 16 physical cores and 32 logical cores not so much for productivity, but for increased headroom and future proofing for when games begin to inevitably make better use of it in the foreseeable future. Although with 32 logical cores, some good productivity is on the table, but not recommended if using with an OLED monitor for risk of burn in due to static images. This is meant only for gaming with headroom to spare. I will admit the $300 AIO liquid cooling system is slightly indulgent, but I didn't want to risk it with expensive CPU, and there were not a lot of reliable reviews and testimonies for the cheaper coolers at the time, so it would have been a real gamble to go with one of the cheaper ones.
