Past: I’ve had a passion for building computers ever since I was a freshman in high school. Since then, I would stay up nights watching BitWit and Linus. After countless hours, I finally decided on the parts I’ll infuse into my dream PC. The Beginning: Building a PC without even working, especially in a hispanic household had most of it’s disappointments. Being told your vision was only just a matter of time before I gave up on it, bummed me out a lot but I never gave up! Fortunately, after explaining that this will enhance my skill and passion in Hardware Engineering and Software, they allowed me and even helped me. After 1-2 months and camping outside of this Micro Center for a GPU (although I didn’t get the one I wanted but I was desperate), I finally finished. It booted up perfectly. Mid Journey: However… It wasn’t what I wanted it to be. It wasn’t near what I wanted my DREAM PC to be. After being hired for the summer, I made money and invested most of it to upgrading. I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 3600 to Ryzen 7 3700x. I knew my dream case was the Lian Li O11D Mini and with the help of a fellow Micro Center employee, I was encouraged on going through with it! I added case fans and an extra 16GB of RAM which was pricey, but very worth it haha. (A new SFX Power Supply to accommodate with the new case as well. The End of an Era/Issues: After installation of the Motherboard, I realized there wasn't space in the back from the case to mount my AIO. I panicked because I wasn't planning on using the included wraith cooler with my CPU. My AIO pump is so cute! "How could I ever let it go" I thought. I stared for a moment and realized I could install the AIO mount on the Motherboard and then screw the motherboard in. Once again, I was relieved from devestation. After installing everything in the new case, I booted it up. I noticed my hard drive would say 50% usage and it worried me a lot. I frantically searched it up but would be led to a dead end. I never really understood as to why it did that but I assumed it was just because of CPU change. A day later, I tried booting it up for my usual gaming mornings but it turned off in a span of 5 minutes. My worry escalated and I unplugged everything to avoid further damage. I ended up going to Micro Center for a Diagnostic and found out my CPU was nearly cooking itself so it would turn off to protect itself. I actually inserted the CPU pump wire into the wrong header which relieved me because I was afraid I’d have to spend more money on something. After thanking the technicians, I went on my way home to try booting it up and to my surprise, it was a successful startup. There was no powering off which relieved me even more. The only upgrade I have left is a 30 series as I intended to get in April but couldn’t. Though I’m totally okay with what I got (Asus ROG 2060 OC). I’m beyond grateful for my journey and anyone who helped me along with it. Ongoing possible issue: My CPU temp is usually at 55°C during startup but stays at 60-70°C during full load. Is this healthy? The people of Reddit say it’s normal temps from a Ryzen 7 3700x Thank you to everyone who sees this! You’re amazing, loved and appreciated! Have a great day <3 ☆ I try not to submit to the sterotype of pink gamer girls but how could I not?? It's so cute! Don't get me wrong, I sometimes alternate between more nature-y, earth-y colors or simple blues and yellows too lol

I did it by myself with tons of research and am thrilled at how it came out. It took about a couple months to get it to where I'm happy to show it off, but I love the results. Wanted to build a computer that could handle content creation and video production easily while also allowing me to game at 1440p effortlessly. I'd say the goal was accomplished, though I intend to upgrade the graphics card and possibly the CPU at some point within the next year.

I built this PC mainly or 3D rendering with some gaming and coding on the side. I wanted a subtle look as I will mainly use this PC for work purposes but still have some pop to it, so I decided to go the no RGB route and let the main star of the show the RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition, do all the talking with it's minimal, white glowing logo - nothing to distract and clash with the working environment.

The original idea for this pc was to keep at school with me in a smaller form factor than my first pc. With this I would then have a pc at home I could use for much lighter use for the rare occurrences I was home for a weekend. However, this pc went through many, many iterations. It took me building it about 5 times to finally be settled with the parts and the look of the pc. It started with the Lian Li LANCOOL 205M because of its small form - until I saw the 011D Mini in store. From there I wasn't gonna be happy until that was my case. Because of this the build ended up getting much more expensive than I anticipated, but with falling component prices, I believe it was worth it. This PC handles my day-to-day college workload, which primarily consists of software development and some networking. When I have free time I'm an enthusiast gamer and sometimes streamer. I insist on being able to play the newest titles at beautiful graphics settings which is what drove the choice to go for the 3080 - as I believe it's the best high-end bang for the buck card. Right now I've been playing a lot of Battlefront II and I've also been revisiting Cyberpunk 2077 with my new card. I'm extremely happy with this PC however I do have a few upgrades planned for the future. The first being swapping the AIO out for a White NZXT Kraken x63 because I like how the 280mm rad fills out the side intake. Lower priority things include more case fans and MAYBE swapping out the mobo at some point in the future.

Introducing my latest creation, a build that combines power, efficiency, and aesthetics to cater to both my professional and personal computing needs. At the heart of this machine is the mighty Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core CPU, coupled with NVIDIA RTX A4000 workstation GPU, 64GB of 3200MHz RAM, all nestled mostly* inside the sleek and compact Fractal Terra Mini case. Why I Built It: As a manufacturing engineer, I work extensively with software and require a system that can effortlessly manage complex modeling in SolidWorks and render Unreal Engine graphics. Simultaneously, as a lifelong gaming enthusiast, I wanted a rig capable of delivering unparalleled gaming experiences. From my daily work routines to unwinding with the latest AAA titles, this build fits the bill. This rig has transformed my workflow, enabling faster render times, smoother gaming experiences, and overall improved efficiency. Professional Work: In my profession, time and precision are of the essence. Whether it's modeling intricate designs in SolidWorks or handling software integral to manufacturing engineering, the synergy of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000 makes my work more efficient and enjoyable. Gaming: As a gamer, I wanted a system that can conquer the latest AAA titles and provide immersive gameplay. With the powerful combination of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000, I've been playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and NFS Heat at ultra-high settings without breaking a sweat. Modeling and Graphics: For my professional pursuits, this build shines in applications like SolidWorks, where precision and performance are paramount. Unreal Engine graphics projects come to life like never before, rendering in real-time and allowing me to explore my creativity in new dimensions. Future Upgrades & Hindsight: In the future, I might explore adding expanded storage capacity to accommodate larger projects. Overall, I am ecstatic with the result. Conclusion: This build is more than just a computer; it's a reflection of my professional life as a manufacturing engineer and my love for gaming and technology. It's a hub for creativity, relaxation, and connection, playing a central role in my daily life. I welcome fellow engineers, gamers, and enthusiasts to share their thoughts, insights, or simply join in the conversation. Let's connect and continue to innovate!

My current computer at the time was also dated 2700x>x970. I originally quit playing games to focus on school and wanting to get back into gaming now that I am finished with school. I doubt that i will be upgrading anything in this build. Most likely I will wait till this system becomes dated and build a completely system using the new AM5 with DDR5 architecture. Asus put very put in very little thought in regards to the build experience and upsettingly this case is technically only side mount 240mm AIO compatible.
