I wanted to go current gen AMD, but was not sure about stability with 4 sticks DDR5 and Ryzen7000. I've heard it is doable but only at speeds below 4400 MT/s. I ended up with tried-and-true 5950x and DDR4 cranked up to 3200 MT/s. Went with matte black, no-RGB and no sleeved cables.$1,858.91 -

I wanted to make myself a modern day linux-based steam machine, that doubles as a build server for work as well as a host for plex/nas/etc, hence the strong cpu Loved the case for the DIY-ability and the m2 mounting holes absolutely everywhere. This new anodized version is a bit sturdier as well Runs NixOS along with sunshine to stream games and video to my tv/switch/laptop. Went with Micro ATX form factor and single color RGB fans for simplicity. AMD processor with AMD graphic card is a plus. Sticked to standard 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe and didn't go crazy with specs. No case mod cables as well but still looks good with neat cable management.$845.95 -

Sometimes my BF likes to play CS GO 2 and Fortnite. I like the compact size of the case and the only mirror issue is noticeable noise from GPU fans when playing games. Most of the parts were purchased from Micro Center, GPU, CPU, and SSD a year ago. Case and PSU last month.$761.95 -

I use it mainly for school work and some occasional gaming (Valorant, Minecraft, the likes). I feel like overall I did a good job, as I did a lot of price hunting and got my GPU eBay, the rest from Microcenter with their insane deals. One thing I would have changed if I knew about this earlier was to get a better motherboard - the B450M is good but I ran into a lot of problems for some reason, maybe it was me? This build cost me around $450 - yes, you may have seen the price above, but it did cost me around $450 because of some coupons I used, the GPU came from eBay, and lots of deals Microcenter had at the time I made this a month back. Whatever the case, overall I loved this project.$635.93 -

I wanted to build a great 1440p gaming build but didn't want to break the bank by getting a 3070 and both AMD CPUs and GPUs have really good deals right now. I have a 5600X and a 6700 XT. This build lets me play Modern Warfare II at over 120FPS with high settings with FidelityFX CAS at 80%. Using FSR would increase it. I also get 90-100 FPS on Fortnite with high graphics and Lumen/Nianite set to the first option.$1,125.92 -

I got an older retro case from my boss and decided to finally make a sleeper build. It was missing a side panel, so I modeled one and had it laser cut from plexiglass. Used all Noctua fans to try and match the beige case and for great cooling. The case also had minimal cooling (as the previous PC did not need it), so I needed to cut a hole in the top for a fan and get creative with some other fan placements. I play mostly last-gen games, so performance was chosen to be pretty middle ground. I also tend to do a lot of system admin related tasks, so having strange drives like a hot-swap SATA bay helps immensely. I also like retro PC tasks, so I added an adapter to make the floppy disk drive function as a USB device. Overall wonderful build, the only thing I would do differently is try to add more USB ports, as this case does not have any front-panel ports and not enough rear ones. I would like to eventually paint the two drives in front, but have yet to find the time.$1,118.42 -

Had a budget of around $800, and got a SUPER SOLID rig. Micro center had great deals with their bundles and got a killer deal! This is a massive upgrade, and now can easily run games with my 144hz monitor. What a great experience, and I appreciate Kenny helping me chose these parts for my budget!$1,031.92 -

I originally built this rig purely for gaming but over the years that I've had, I've been doing more with it such as school work and video editing. I edit using Davinci Resolve 17 and I'm able to to play pretty much any game with this rig but in recent triple A titles like Elden Ring it does have a few hiccups.$743.93 -

I built this because my sister had a potato dell optiplex 9020 and her internet card gave out so i was like why not use this excuse to get the benefit of the bundle deals in microcenter plus i live like 10 mins away and i built it for much cheaper than i would've if it wasnt from microcenter. She mainly games, uses it for school, draws from time to time and I was also interested in grabbing a amd graphics card and the 6700xt was super popular and so good from the statistics i have seen it just demolished the 3060 that i was at first trying to get so I just grabbed the 6700xt for such a low price and I got the i7-12700k bundle !$1,531.81 -

Meant to be a gaming rig/workstation to serve as a replacement for my old college laptop as I go off into the world. So far, I'm catching up on older titles I've been missing out on (Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, Doom, etc.), but I'm hoping to be able to run newer games like HZD and GotG without much trouble. Should be a perfect size though as I'll be moving around the country quite a bit.$930.82
