I built it because I am a 3rd year college student and it was time to upgrade from my 500 dollar laptop. I play some games on it, it runs gta pretty well, I also played a free game team fortress two and it’s very smooth. I still have some cable management to do but I was in a bit of a time crunch so that will be my next task with it.

The reason I built this is because I thought it was the moment to change my environment learning, during my last one year and a half I would never imagine myself having wifi as we couldn't really get it but throughout time we got to save up and bought my first laptop I was so happy as I did not have to go to the library to use their computers and come home late anymore and get my mom worry but I always told her that I had to do my homework in why I achieved my first ever unweighted 4.0 GPA . When I would come home I need a place to work where I needed to sit down and focus and I had to use a party table and then felt so embarrassing about I put a blanket over it, the photo I took was back in school time when I shared this to my new girlfriend of how I organize my room but now during this summer during the whole pandemic we got a lot of support and help from the government in where I got enough money to get a new computer , my first ever desk, first ever, keyboard, mice and microphone and more etc. I would of never imagine I would have these set up of my own . In the beginning I had to do research of what desktop I wanted and I wanted to play games on it also so I went for a gaming pc and my mom said alright then and then I never knew the whole pc commmunity was hugggee, I wanted a pre built because straight off the bat I just wanted it now cause we had the money but in youtube everyone does this custom build and comments telling everyone to build your own and so I went for it and went to Tustin Micro Center which was huge I never knew there was a store that big just for computer parts and everything almost like best buy. Those people were very helpful and looked all professional with their nice suits . Overall I am really grateful I always had everything I needed to be succesful towards my learning in school but this is something else more and something nice to have, I still believe I can succeed with just a chromebook or a $1200 custom build during this time as I am taking school online but if I were to upgrade I would upgrade my fans for fans that have rgb, not sure what else I need. . I also added a whiteboard above to set myself reminders.

Hello i built this pc from gaming to watching movies to a workstation for college. Did my research on some builds, was looking to spend a little over 1k. For the processor I slapped in a i5 9600k, paired it up with a RTX 2060 from MSI. For ram i went with the 8x2 3000 mhz Gskill Trident x RGB, and for my storage i recently upgraded from a ssd to a Crucial nvme m.2 1tb for alittle over 100 which was a STEAL ! For the motherboard i went with a simple Gygabyte z390 UD and for my case I went with a Corsair iCUE 220T, and a simple Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB. By just reading the specs, its a pretty good gaming rig for playing games like COD, Fortnite, Valorant, Beam-Ng, Minecraft you name it. Peripherals wise, I haven't done much upgrading since they are still holding up. For my mouse I have a Razer Death adder Chroma which is a couple of years old, for my keyboard im rocking a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2016 edition NON-rgb which sucks. For my mouse pad I also rock a Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma gaming mousepad which I purchased not that long ago. Cant forget the speakers, i rock the Klipsch Promedia 2.1's. They are hella crispy, i have them mounted on my desk in a way that they look like they are floating ! I'm still rocking a Blue Snowball which i have not let go ever since i started youtube videos ( 10k subs :) ). My monitor which I just got a few days ago, I dont regret buying it all. Its an MSI Optix g32 Series. I picked it up because of the price, size as well as refresh rate ! I was rocking a 27 incher which I sold to upgrade and I dont regret selling it at all ( Well kinda since it was my first gaming monitor). I dont think anyone cares about this part ,but I also purchased a steering wheel ( Ferrari Racing WHeel Red Legend Edition )with pedals for a more realistic driving experience when i hop on Beam-NG Drive. If you haven't tried it out, you are missing OUT ! This concludes my whole setup, everything i've on my list i have purchased by self with my earnings and I dont regret spending it ! Thank you for reading my post :)

Since about 2014 in 7th grade when I got into PCs and the world of PC gaming, I have wanted to build a PC. However, saving for college and being busy with high school put that goal to the side. After a few years of working and saving and getting into my dream college, I built this PC to kind of reward myself for my hard work, yet staying on a decent budget. I found a great deal on a CPU and MOBO and decided to rush my original build date to this summer instead of next. I have been playing on my college laptop since quarantine, and I felt like I needed something stronger to dedicate to gaming since I play almost every night with the boys. We play CSGO, Destiny 2, R6S, and other multiplayer games. I also will use the PC for Photo editing for school and part time work projects as well as it is much more powerful than my school laptop. I parted out the rest of the components and finished the build this week, but I wish I got a different MOBO with more future proofing like more dimm slots and PCI-E connections. I'm not too upset since I got a great deal. In the future I'd love to upgrade some peripherals such as a new keyboard and maybe monitor.

I use the build for gaming and causal streaming on Twitch. This started out as a Intel Alienware pre-built in 2013 and slowly evolved into the custom Ryzen build it is today. In 2013 it was my first introduction to PC gaming and throughout the years of swapping out parts I'm now comfortable building custom PCs for family and friends. Future for this build would be a different case to support a bottom 360 radiator and to fit the GPU water block horizontally. Also, venture into hard tubing instead of the soft.

Over the years kept upgrading parts to be able to keep playing games with friends. Currently play SC2, LOL,D3,OW,MHW, Sea of Theives, and DOS2 are the main games I play. Hoping to upgrade my pc in the near future to be able to handle both gaming and video editing since I been enjoy video editing as a side project since currently out of work. Might end up streaming later on just for fun but right now pc a little old to handle good stream quality and gaming performance. Thing I hoping to upgrade in the near future is an AMD Ryzen 3900X , MSI X570 Gaming MOBA, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200. This way my pc can easily handle anything I want to do with it and wont have to upgrade for a long time.

My build started out about two years ago when I first started making enough to get into PC building. I started with a Ryzen 5 2600, RTX 2060, 16 Gb 3200, a 1Tb Samsung 860 SSD and one Smasung EVO plus m.2 with 250 Gb for boot. I mostly use this for gaming (DEATH STRANDING), but end game would also be making music with programs such as Ableton or Fruiy Loops, as well as high res photo editing. I've made a few upgrades over the years, the prize being ASUS STRIX 2080 Super White edition. Along with an upgrade to a Ryzen 7 2700, and a slight bump up to 3600 mhz ram (still only 16 though).

My old laptop was dying so decided to build a PC to kill time in the middle of this Covid. I first built a budget system under $800 for some light CAD, youtube, 4K playback, coding and web browsing. But after 2 weeks. I felt this strong urge to "upgrade" because who doesn't want to be a PC master race, right, right (please say yes so I don't feel bad about my decision)? Anyways, my brain said "no" but my hands took out the credit card and now I am here posting this. I am starting to think that this rig might be too big, and looking at some ITX builds now. I should let my wife keep the credit card because that "urge to upgrade" is hitting me again.

This build has kinda taken on a life of its own and I am nowhere near done with it. At first I was going to get an AIO and then decided to go the custom loop route, I will be adding another radiator and liquid cooled GPU when the new Nvidia cards launch. I will also be working on some mods for the case as well for the first time, cutting a acrylic panel and using it for pass through fittings to run water lines behind the case and for a cleaner look as well.

I was around 8 y/o when I got this PC, however, It came in pre-built and it was around $400 dollars when we bought it. Never used it for gaming, I'd desperately try running "Exceptionally low end games" on a very windowed-screen, and would generally get around 50 fps with Small window + Lowest resolution as well as overclocked it at highest speed. I used to play games like Roblox, Agar.io, and so on, but then moved on after the PC itself began overheating (90 F) and it would ceaselessly crash so I had to keep the case open constantly to get the most ideal airflow. As years went by, the PC began running more slower & slower and the date of death is expected to be anytime soon, nevertheless, it's entirely mind blowing how it's still running after 6.5 years. There are numerous occasions that occurred in those 6.5 years, however it'd take days to write down every event (Power supply burning is one of them). When I turned 14, I got really interested in programming, and began learning C++ about a month ago. Currently I do typical programming as well as reverse-engineering, and obviously school work. I have never upgraded the parts, it’s still the same, the only thing I changed is the monitor, the GPU couldn't hold the performance of HDMI, so I used another old monitor with a VGA cable, I think it's faster and more sustainable, one more thing that I forgot to mention is that, my friend gave me a GTX 760 for a gift about a few years ago, I was wanting to slip it inside my PC, yet tragically the PSU just had a 6 PIN connector while the 760 required 12 Pins, however, it wasn't worth it in the first place, despite of performance benefits, the CPU would bottleneck.

When I first began to build this computer, I mostly built this computer with the intent of gaming and gaming only, in hopes of joining my schools esport team. However when im not gaming im able to complete general purpose work with great speed and efficiency in terms of game design and such. Being one who loves to play games and with the development of the esport industry and the games that come along with that development, I realized that I would need a stronger pc build if I would be able to continue my love for high quality gaming. MW, CS:GO,.Valorant, OW and R6S all run at great speeds due to the computers extreme efficiency. However, when im not practicing for a competitive gaming field, the computer is able to run Tomb Raider, Wildlands, Assassins Creed and all those story games very easily. Im hoping to continue to build and upgrade parts as they are released and the development of games and equipment continues to progress. However I strongly hope to get a better monitor. Finally, I also feel like building this lets me add my own touches and taste to such an investment. Rather then having a prebuilt one, one that is the exact same as another, I got to add my own parts and touches to it, letting it to really be something more then a gaming computer.

It was a great learning experience. I mainly play multiplayer FPS games like RB6 Seige and Warzone. At 1080p high settings system performed very well. Cooling was the only thing I was concerned about. However beefy air coolers these days get the job done. First case I picked up had few broken components including case. So, replaced it with a new case. If you are first time builder please make sure that the Power Supply and Air Cooler are compatible with the case that your are choosing and if you are skeptical and have more space; you can always pick up larger case just to be on the safe side.
