My highschool had a two week course where we could learn and build our own computers, we had a budget of 500$ and the choice to add extra from our own money. This is my first build and I am very happy with how it turned out. Using our budgets, I bought the 400$ bundle at Micro Center that contained, Intel Core i9 12900K, ASUS Prime Z790-V WIFI motherboard, and the G.skill Ripjaw 32 Gb 2 x 16 ram. Additionally, I got a PowerSpec PS 650GSM 650 W power supply, a DeepCool AG400, and a Seagate Laptop Thin 500 GB 7200RPM SATA 6 GB/s 32 MB Cache 2.5 Inch Hard Disk Drive. Using my own money, I bought a Inland X1 black case, two Inland TN320 NVMe M.2 storage SSD's, and a Nvidia RTX 3050. I am very thankful I took this course and I am very content with how my PC turned out, it runs most games I play at high to max graphics (I mostly play RTS such as Men of War or Total War games). The total cost of this build was roughly 800$ USD with me paying around 270$ from my own pocket.$1,122.93 -

So I finally made up my mind to upgrade my desktop after 5 years. Since the GTX 1080 is still in good condition and honestly can still run a lot of games smoothly, I've decided to just upgrade other components for now and wait for the 5080 (depends on my need)$824.96 -

With starfield coming out I wanted to get a new build for it since I hadn't really upgraded in many years as my old build had only 16GB of RAM (that was a lot when I built it) and a 1660 Super. That worked as all I played was old and small games like Fallout 4, EUIV, and red dragon so it wasn't a problem but with starfield coming out and knowing bethesda games I will be playing it for years to come with newer and move expansive mods so I needed something beefier.$1,725.57 -

On the PC I play fortnite, valorant, call of duty and some other games. I also use my PC for school, and finish assignments online. I also watch a ton of movies and TV shows which look amazing. I owned a prebuilt gaming pc before deciding to get all my parts from Micro Center and to build a new pc myself. The types of games I play vary, such as playing visual novels, RPGs/JRPGs, FPS games, sandbox games, puzzle games, and etc. Therefore, I preferred to aim towards building a mid-range gaming pc that can satisfy both the non-intensive and intensive games that I play. This is my first ever pc that I built and overall I am proud of it. I plan to switch the sides in which the CPU fans blow since the right side blocks the ram's rgb, however other than that I am pretty proud with my first build!$1,673.90 -
