The aim of this build was a white, upper mid-tier gaming machine with a smaller footprint with a price point under $1500. This was my first time working with the Micro ATX format, I'm happy to be able to start building smaller, lighter machines. The Jonsbo case worked quite well and was overall pretty easy to work with and had plenty of room for everything (the GPU and 140mm bottom mounted case fans were the most difficult parts). The wiring is a bit of a mess, but it's mostly hidden behind the SSD panel. The look could be improved a bit with white power supply cables and perhaps some better finagling of the GPU power connector, but it's fine for us as is.

For Christmas this year I was given the task to build a pc for my cousin in a black theme. He only plays video games and won't need the pc for anything else and having a $1k budget I decided to go with the ryzen 5 3600 combo from micro center with the free gigabyte b450 motherboard. The cpu cooler is an Uphere cooler from Amazon. I paired it with 16gb of corsair vengance @3200mhz. 1tb Inland nvme m.2. For psu I initially bought the corsair 650 but had a fan sound so I return it and no more in stock so I picked up a powerspec 650w 80+ bronce semi moduler. The case is a Lian Li air mini in black. I added 6 uphere rgb fans from Amazon. For the gpu in order to get the most out of the budget I decided to buy used and get a gigabyte rtx 2070. I also added some black psu extension cables.

I can upgrade to a 13th gen chip down the road. The 12400 holds its own in gaming though. It hasn't held back performance from my 6700 at all so far.
