When designing the Aoyue 388 CircuitVise, our number one goal was to eliminate any potential movement in the soldering experience with a helping hands system that actually works. The most important piece was the flexible hands. We have experienced products where the arms would not always stay positioned, slowly drifting away and making it impossible to make the connection. Additionally, these arms would fall off the magnetic base when moving them around. Our answer to this was to develop a system that stayed put no matter what angle and to secure it with good old fashioned screws and lock washers.
