The Aoyue TY-98 is a waterless soldering iron tip cleaning solution that uses brass coils to easily remove excess solder and flux residues. Simply plunge the iron into the cleaner to stop your tip from smoking with corrosive flux that can damage the tip if not cleaned off. The brass is a soft metal so it will not damage the metal tip plating even after many uses. The TY-98 is also designed to be highly compatible with Aoyue soldering stations and soldering iron holders. It includes mounting hardware for attaching to a variety of these devices for left or right-hand operation. When you've used up all sides of the coils, they can easily be replaced with our refills.
