Q: Will the renewal add to the existing time remaining on the license?
A: No. If the software renewal date is before the expiration date of the original license, there is no credit for time remaining on the original license. Renew when the previous license has expired.
Q: Where is the ESET serial number located?
A: The serial number is located with the original software packaging. It is also found in the activation email sent by ESET when the product is activated.
Q: Where is the ESET Username located?
A: ESET NOD32 – The username is in the Username and Password setup section of the ESET Control Center. To access this section,
open the Control Center, click Update, then select Username and Password Setup. The License details window shows the Username and Password.
A: ESET Smart Security – The username is in the Username and Password setup section of the ESET Control Center. To access the section, open the Control Center, Click Update, then Username and Password Setup. The License details window shows the Username and Password.
Q: Is ESET Smart Security renewable with the NOD32 renewal?
A: No, the renewal process will not work properly this way. In order to renew Smart Security, purchase a Smart Security renewal. NOD32 is renewable to Smart Security. Installation of the Smart Security software would be required.
Q: What does the “The shopping cart is temporarily offline” error message mean?
A: This means that there is already one renewal product in the shopping cart. Use the Shopping Cart link at the top of the page to open the cart and complete the renewal transaction.
Q: The confirmation email from Micro Center says that the product is shipping. When will it arrive?
A: The ESET Renewal product is a Digital Download only product. There is nothing to ship.
Q: What causes the “Serial number already in use” error on the activation page?
A: Double-clicking the Submit button can cause this error message. Use the Retrieve License tool to have another copy of the Username and Password sent to the email address used during activation.
Q: Why does the ESET software still show an “Invalid Username / Password” error after purchasing a renewal?
A: The renewal serial number requires activation at www.eset.com/MicroCenter. Successful completion of activation provides a new username and password.
Q: Why does the email message from ESET indicate that the software is valid on one system when the software purchased was a 3-user renewal?
A: It is a generic message from ESET that goes out for all activation confirmations. 3-user licenses are valid on three computers. Use the same new Username and Password on all 3 computers.
Q: Why is there is no email with the username and password?
A: In some cases, it takes a few minutes for the email to arrive. Additionally, check junk, spam, and bulk message filters to see if the message is there. |
