Hide Facebook Quizzes in Firefox with FB Purity
by rob

Do you love Facebook but get tired of all those quizzes and app notifications showing up on your news feed? Sure, you can hide them all individually, but that takes time and there seems to be a limitless stream of them. Luckily, you can use FB Purity to hide them all automatically.

First, you'll need to install the Greasemonkey extension. Greasemonkey powers all sorts of other Firefox extensions that deal with displaying JavaScript content. Once that is installed, restart Firefox. Then install the Facebook Purity extension. If you really want to see the extra messages, you can always click the Show link.

Now you can spend less time hiding individual apps and more time reading about your friends.
