"How can I transfer Super 8 Movies to my computer?" Before digital camcorders or VHS, many home movies were recorded using 8mm film. In the 60s, Kodak™ introduced the Super 8 system which was designed for amateur moviemakers. Unfortunately, digitizing this film professionally can be costly and doing it yourself can be time consuming. Here is a suggestion: Set up your Super 8 projector normally using a transparent screen. Next, set up a digital camcorder next to the projector. Play the 8mm film and record with the digital camera simultaneously. When you are done, import the recording from the digital camera into a video editing program. Or, if you have a high-resolution web camera, you can record the film through your computer. kp & chris |
