| Tech Tip Ripping CDs in iTunes by rob |
||
Before
you import your CD collection using iTunes, it would be a good idea to change
the encoding being used to create audio files. Why? Well, iTunes can use
a variety of audio file formats but MP3 is the most universal format being
used in devices such as auto audio systems (the CD player in my truck can
play MP3s) and personal audio devices (iPods and other portable music players).
In iTunes, go to the iTunes menu > Preferences. Select "Importing" in the top of the window. Under "Import Using," change the encoder to "MP3 Encoder." |
