| Tech Term Megapixel by rob |

| The
resolution of a digital camera is measured in megapixels. A megapixel
is equivalent to about a million pixels. The more pixels you have,
the more detail your camera can capture. With more detail, the more
you can enlarge an image before it becomes "grainy" and
starts to look out-of-focus. When looking for a digital camera,
here are some resolutions to consider: 1 Megapixel is sufficient for web images and printed images up to 4" x 6" 2 Megapixels for 5" x 7" prints 3 or 4 Megapixels for 8.5" x 10" prints 5 Megapixels and higher for large format prints |
