Bluetooth is a wireless way to allow peripherals to communicate with your computer. Devices such as mobile phones and PDAs have Bluetooth capabilities to allow you to sync data and transfer files. Many other peripherals that you would usually connect via USB (printers, mice and keyboards) can be found that use Bluetooth to keep your desk free of wires. Bluetooth runs on the 2.4GHz radio frequency and works up to 30-feet away from your computer. If your computer doesn't have Bluetooth features, you can add a USB or PC Card Bluetooth adapter. Fun Fact: Bluetooth is named after the Danish King Harald Bluetooth, known for unifying Denmark and Norway in the 10th century. |
